BB-Gun
I just got the new overstreet since i am back in trading mode. i was reading the other day that from somewhere in the late 700's to the mid 900's that there was a standard 10cent price, and that there was a .15cent variant. This was followed with a "STILL 10cent" beside the plain 10 cent which i think is the variant that replaced the 15 cent test run. here are a few of the early 15 cent variants. the price box is very apparent on the Hardy Boys 830 Is that Noah Beery, Jr. in the clown costume? He also played Rocky on TV, a Tarzan-like character in the movies and a cowboy in Red River. Forgot about the Tailspin Tommy serials... jmg3637
Well I knew that it was Mickey Dolenz from his pre_MONKEES days. I had to go to IMDB to find out that it is Noah Berry Jr. The two of them were in all 49 episodes of the show which ran from 1956-1957.That is one more episode than Bimbo the elephant was in. Mickey is more easily recognized in the earlier fc. During the show's run, the producers decided to send Micky Dolenz on a promotional tour (together with the show's baby elephant), and that an added attraction would be to have him play guitar and sing. Dolenz was sent for a round of guitar lessons, and alternated between music and tricks with the elephant for the tour.
BB-Gun
By the way, the jungle serial was about characters (Jan et al.) created by Otis Kline whose jungle stories and SciFi adventures were similar to ERB stories. Scrooge
if I had a TailSpin Tommy I would post it. IIRC, Tailspin Tommy didn't get any book in the Four Color series. For more Tommy, you'd have to rely on the BLBs or the one-shot Best-seller Comics # 1 released in 1946 -
jmg3637
that last tailspin tommy cover is so familiar from somewhere. I must have it or a vary close swipe in my collection. just assumed it was a Four Color. A few more from my recent not yet finished trade. A few of these series are very familiar parts of my childhood.

Comicdey
Out of all the issues still necessary for being posted on this thread as kindly prepared by Montezuma, only 5 can't be purchased on ebay as of right now. 438, 444, 503, 594, 823, 1231, 1253, 1268, 1286 and 1301 are all available with at least one copy, and sometimes more. 515, 553, 557, 571 and 799 didn't have one readily available on the bay. Of these, all but 553, have a recent sale on ebay. I think we are nearing completion of this very large task.
