Did anyone see the price this 105 went for? http://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAuctions%2Fallsub%2Easp%3FFocused%3D1%26id%3D3876%26FROM%3D%26TO%3D%23Item%5F848413&id=848413

Pretty strong considering I bought my 6.5 for almost $1k less. (shrug)

I was the underbidder on that book, I really wanted it as it was off white. I thought I would get it for around 2K, I was wrong. :P

I still have this copy, but if I plan to sell...I would want a premium for it.

My fave cover of ALL your stash !!! :takeit:

Let guess again...cool pink cover. I would never sell this book, unless I ask you for your :takeit: offer first. :)

Wish this copy had better PQ though:

Very nice Flash 105 and it has off-white pages and nice grade on the 106. Flash 105 in 6.0+ always been hard to locate, but with off-white pages warrants a premium. (thumbs u

There have been a lot of 106 for sale lately but I have not found the right copy for the right price. It still seems like every issue (not just 106) that I want goes for big money, while every issue I pass on goes for cheap. I just won three from the last comic link auction but the one i wanted went for big money.

This thread needs a bump. I think this book is worthy. It is one of the hard ones. I got it from a boardie. It was one of Tim's former books. But what book isn't.

:applause: :applause:

I had a feeling this would be posted soon! ;)

So glad this gem is in safe hands and has remained untouched! It is an insanely nice copy of an insanely difficult issue to find in high grade.

Unfortunately, I saw from the Pedigree auction that not all of my old Western Penn Flashes have remained similarly untouched. :(

Only a person_having_a_hard_time_understanding_my_point would sell a book as sweet as that Flash 141...

Think this comprises most of Tim's Western Penn Flash Run:

126 9.4 OW

127 9.0 OW

129 9.4 OW

133 9.4 OW

134 9.4 OW

137 9.4 OW/W

138 9.6 W

139 9.6 W

140 9.6 OW/W

141 9.6 OW/W

142 9.6 OW/OW

145 9.8 OW

146 9.4 OW

147 9.6 OW

148 9.8 OW

149 9.8 OW

150 9.6 OW/W

Tim,

That book will stay in my hands for a long time. I had known who had it and never pressed the issue but had always hoped I would have a shot at it. How many WP did you end up accquiring.

Yup, I liked the fact that it ended up in safe hands when I sold it, and I`m glad it ended up in safe hands after he sold it.

I believe Eric has already saved me the trouble of listing my WP Flash run. I only had part of the WP Flash run owned by the guy I bought them from, as I stupidly cherry-picked only the issues in 9.4 and above and stopped at 150. I believe he bought the entire WP Flash run that Tom had slabbed (except for the 123 which Tom kept), but it was still not a complete set of all WP Flashes (nothing earlier than 121 or 122 if I recall correctly).

(thumbs u Actually, I also had the 9.4 #144, but I traded it to Wilson as part of a deal for his 9.6 copy.

Somehow the 9.4 #132 didn`t seem to be in the run that was offered to me, as it ended up with Rube11.

When I first had these graded I thought the 139, 140 and 141 had a serious shot at 9.8. All graded 9.6. Now I see the 140 on Worldwide has been graded 9.8.

Still the best Flash run out there!

Tom

Yes, some of those books were really sharp and it was hard to see any differences between the 9.6s and 9.8s.

Tom, do you have a list of all of the slabbed WP Flashes with grades? I stupidly seem to have lost the list that Scott sent me when he offered the run.
