Readcomix
Just picked this up on the recommendation of a friend, who says it is not just a history of Gilberton but a very insightful read about the early days of comics publishing in general. Looking forward to checking it out! Gotham Kid
Robot Man
Just re-discovered this one. Came in a large lot of Lloyd Jaquette file copies that I picked up at auction back east. I just want to know the fool who neatly cut out the horse shoe on the front cover? Larryw7, comicjack and porcupine48
porcupine48
@Robot Man I was thinking of you when I finally hunted this down, thought the GA collectors of bygone days might like to see this gem I somehow rediscovered after years lost.Don't even remember really where it's from.I believe it was on a Master Comics or Whiz Canadian edition originally. Now the bag gets it's own mylar Larryw7, batman_fan, The-Collector and 1 other
Robot Man
That’s funny, I have one of those put away some where. I remember sending away to Robert Bell for those. I cut down cardboard to use as backing boards. Forward thinking I guess.

I picked up the Spark Man #1 one-shot a few months ago, then when I was looking on Heritage past auctions for info I saw a Sparkler 1 and 2 with the GIFT stamp and sticker and thought they were super cool. Like a comic and a premium in one. No idea how many were given out like this, but I was happy when I came across this one. sagii
