BB-Gun
I had an extra Wonderworld cover that I don't think I have posted before. Fox comics were great and the flame had some great art and some strange art. bb
BB-Gun
The addition of Flamegirl helped to make it interesting. bb
BB-Gun
And I think Dr. Drool had to be one of the better villians. He was always being rescued from graveyards. bb
BB-Gun
I liked this orange Sensation 65 cover but the thread seems to have disappeared. I purchased this from Lem at Golden Eagle (erasure at top as is). He was a pretty good guy and always helpful. I think Wally used to trade with Lem before he sold me the rest of his collection which also included this SA 24. bb

Silver Surfer
The Sub-Mariner and Human Torch stories in Marvel Mystery #8 present the set-up to the classic battle story that is featured in the next issue. Marvel Mystery Comics #8 (June 1940) I love the green used in the "Sub-Mariner" title.
BangZoom
I had an extra Wonderworld cover that I don't think I have posted before. Fox comics were great and the flame had some great art and some strange art. That cover didn't look the least bit familiar to me. I guess I need to set aside more time to look at my collection. Here's a nice ad for The Flame from that issue.

BB-Gun
I thought the origin story for Flame-Girl in WW 30 was interesting. She was a good-looking sidekick. bb But there were a lot of strange looking covers and splash panels published by Fox. And I thought that this story looked Weird until I saw a real cuttlefish. They can change colors and shape as well as blink like a neon sign. Amazing. The story doesn't do the monster justice. I think we need a gif to show what the monster really looked like. Marvel Mystery Comics #8 (June 1940) I love the green used in the "Sub-Mariner" title. Everett seemed to use a variety of logo colors. Perhaps this represented the cuttlefish superpower that the Sub-mariner seldom demonstrated in his stories. bb Heritage scans I think from MMC 18,23 and

BangZoom
I always have always assumed that the figures on this cover were photo swipes. For a brief moment this afternoon I thought I'd found the source for the man in the overcoat. Then it dawned on me that the comic was published in 1939 and the publicity still was for a 1942 film. BB-Gun
Great cover, BB. I'm a big fan of Peter's stylized artwork. I love the orange sky. Pun? Orange Skies Jack Thanks for the music bit Jack. I had to reinstall Windows (I needed to clean up files anyway) to get my sound card to work again. I probably lost a few important favorite websites but hopefully no other damage. The comic files are on the external hard drive. It is nice to have but I think I might need a new comic Reader now. bb Edited July 24, 2008 by BB-Gun
