RedFury
It's great seeing all those Pete Rice books with the awesome Baumhofer covers! I bought the recently released Baumhofer book and pored over all the incredible artwork. It was interesting to learn that Baumhofer intended to be a musician, and was quite talented as a child, but an accident while playing with bullets damaged his left hand so severely he had to give it up. A friend suggested he try art since he would only need one hand to paint.
BangZoom
I didn't realize that the Baumhofer book had been published. Did you buy it through the publisher?

RedFury
I didn't realize that the Baumhofer book had been published. Did you buy it through the publisher? Yes. They had a Kickstarter campaign, but I didn't find out about it until it had ended. I just went to the publisher's website and ordered it there. BB-Gun
Little Lulu #58 Lulu was pretty original but I think most of these dream sequences were inspired by Little Nemo. He was featured in The Shadow comics for a while.

BB-Gun
Wow, beautiful art! Not Windsor McKay is it? The GCD says it was by Robert McCay which makes since. Didn't he draw characters for some of the cartoons produced by McCay? It didn't last long. I only see Nemo story listings for a few issues after vol 2 #3. Stories were by Otto Binder by the way. BangZoom
Thanks, BB. I think Winsor McCay's son did a good job with the strip. Here are scans of the entire story for those of you who have never seen it.
