  1. I just saw the story in my news feed. Damn he will be missed. One of the top ten artists of all time.
  2. I agree with the 8.0's Nice looking book!
  3. I believe Kav is correct, it is caused through high humidity and the inks have rubbed off.
  4. Yes it would be ok to post a video if you plan on responding to a post you created. But to ask a question and then to ignore all responses is an obvious spam thread.
  5. He did not respond to anyone's comments in his last post. He just posts his channel and leaves.
  6. I hope that whoever moderates the boards will look into banning youtubers using this site to promote their channel.
  7. The CGC turnaround time for re-holder is listed as 79 work days, but there are reports on the "Current turnaround rates" thread as being much longer.
  8. Sending the book to CGC for a re-holder can take up to a year to get it back. Is it worth the wait? I would look into selling it for 100 dollars less than the current market value and whoever buys it can go through the headache of a re-holder. This is just my opinion, but that crack isn't even that big or distracting to me.
  9. I can tell you that mine had star stamps on them, but the ink broke down and separated off of the book. Its hard for me to describe, but in my situation I kept them in poly bags and i would actually see the ink come loose and roll onto the plastic. Hopefully someone else has seen what I am referring to and can explain it better.

  11. Looks like this one had it. You can see where the staple was pulled. Key Collector Comics - Comic Reader #126
  12. I have an old Charlton book that is possessed by the spirit of an evil comic book collector...Thinking of selling it....
  13. Maybe they are hoping to clone it into a complete book.
  14. Sure, In-N- Out can raise their prices. They only have about 25 other burger joints to compete with, so why not?
  15. Take a picture of the book so you will have something to look at while it sits at CGC for a re-encapsulation. .
  16. Yes, I would not recommend anyone use large Amazon boxes to send 25 books. Luckily for me, I can never afford to send that many at one time.
  17. No, Amazon ships all sizes of boxes so I understand why some people may not like my suggestion.. The Box I use from Amazon is 18"x13"x4". They are not the strongest box, but using strong tape will hold the box together, provided you don't ship heavy items in them. I usually don't send large amounts to CGC. So it suits my purpose.
  18. They are ok to use for a small amount of books. I wouldn't use them to send 25 books in them. They are good for 5 books or less. Everyone should look at the box they have and use their own judgement.
  19. Luckily my wife buys things every week from Amazon. Anytime we get a good size comic box I save them.
  20. I'm leaning towards 5.0 but with current grading, it might grade 4.5
  21. I would wait until fuel prices drain the pocket books of comic collectors. Most books will probably drop in price if you wait another year.
