  2. I thought it was pretty good, but agree that it was alittle messy. I can see it getting alot better, too. Lots of potential with this show. The non-smoking thing is bothering me though. I keep thinking that he's going to take out of cigarette, but keep forgetting that it won't happen. One thing I loved!!
  3. Ha, I had a lot of 22 copies of X-Force #2 and they finally sold 1-2 months ago for $65 after sitting for months. I really didn't see the book being a $10+ book.
  4. Yeah, I've found every modern I can think of in the cheap bins (including BA12), but this is the first time I found a Miracleman 15. That book is ridiculously tough to find.
  5. Went to a local antique shop and bought these for $2 each. Sets of these
  6. I just sold my 2nd print 9.8 of #1 for $2400 on MCS. I think that's a record high. TMNT is on fire lately.
  7. I've heard some stories about Cho not being the nicest person, and I kind of saw that when I get my sketch done at NY Special Edition. He comes off as a no nonsense type of individual. In the end, he got to the show hours late because he wanted to finish my sketch, which makes him awesome in my book, but I'm sure not so awesome to anyone wanting a signature from him at the show.
  8. He always seemed like a guy that thrived on the attention to me, but even so... I think it would be odd. Steranko definitely is the kind of person who has his good and bad days. When I met him at NYCC, he was super nice and I was even able to get a sketch from him for a very reasonable price, but I met him a few months later and he wasn't nice at all, but that was because he was shorted a table by the show promoter.
  9. Greg Capullo. Right from the start he didn't seem to like me for some reason. He was really nice to the guys in front of me, and then when I got to him he was so nasty and mean. I did something stupid at another show after that, which made him hate me even more, but that part's my fault.
  10. Well I bet the problems you are talking about didn't happen in transit. They pack well. Also they will refund you if you aren't satisfied. I've bought plenty from them and they are often accurate with their grading. I had a book that was called NM+ to NM/MT by me and the reputable boardie I bought it from, and they called it a VF+. That's just one of dozens of examples of their grading.
  11. Careful with all the talk guys. It might get this thread locked.
  12. I made mention of the Nightwing mini series issues 1 and 2 about a month ago, on another copper thread, and the two books are starting to slowly climb in price. I know issue #2 was easily available for $1 on eBay, but now it seems to be a solid $5-10 book.
  13. iZombie #1 is officially on fire now. http://www.ebay.com/itm/iZombie-1-2-1st-print-Roberson-Allred-2010-Vertigo-/251525807694?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item3a901b3e4e
  14. My modern slow track submission from NYCBM (3/1) just shipped. I'm guessing it was received on about 3/5, so that's about 30 business days.
  15. didn't you predict this sometime ago? http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=7522963#Post7522963 Without spoiling anything about the story, the story for the FCBD Future's End #0 is pretty good, so I think BB will explode soon. #1 of the 1999 series is a solid $20 book at the moment, but its going to climb much higher if this series does well.
  16. Batman Beyond #1 has been doing well lately, but after reading Future's End #0, I think there might be even more interest in the character.
  17. I just sold a Cap 1-50, 600-617 run for $189. It has the variant for #6 though.
  18. I can't believe this. This is definitely because he just passed away. I can't count how many copies I had. http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/191124237340?lpid=82&item=191124237340&lgeo=1&vectorid=229466
  19. WD #61 is starting to show some movement, not because of Chew, but because Father Stokes is expected to be in Season 5 of the show. http://www.ebay.com/itm/The-Walking-Dead-61-1st-Print-NM-Father-Gabriels-1st-Appearance-/281294061713?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item417e6ec091
  20. Poor natural lighting in that room? Definitely more than that. In Talking Dead, they showed the room from more angles, and we see the names of people and their hometown written on the ground, as well as a few statues and monuments in the room.
  21. Anyone know what the candles mean? Does it mean that the hunters/terminus guys are doing some kind of human sacrifice before killing and eating people? Maybe that's why they weren't trying to kill Rick and his people.
  22. I have never tried, but I thought it was very difficult (if not impossible) to become a CGC witness these days.
  23. Do Canadian newsstand versions command a premium? I got this today for $5 and noticed after that it had the 95 cent cover price.
