  1. The WD Image Firsts was definitely a shill or buyers thinking it was a real #1. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Image-Firsts-Walking-Dead-1-NM-Robert-Kirkman-Tony-Moore-AMC-2012-Edition-/290842357577?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item43b78e2f49 I've sold a couple of copies of the 2010 WD Image Firsts, and I always got people asking me if it was the first WD comic.
  2. I just got economy (non FT) books I submitted at WW Philly last June.
  3. +1 thanks for the Wolverine books!
  4. Anyone know where they're at with economy non-fast track? I will never make the mistake of forgetting to fast track again. I'm stilling waiting on books from Wizard World Philly, which was in early June.
  5. Completely normal TaT's. Does anyone know which books they are on for economy? I sent something in at WWPA in early June, and am wondering how much longer I need to wait.
  6. The comics might be leveling off slightly (although I did sell a WD #19 CGC 9.8 SS for almost $800), but for me, the McFarlane action figures are an indication the there is no bubble burst in sight. A year ago, you could find this guy on the shelves of your local Toys R Us with little effort. http://www.ebay.com/itm/McFarlane-Series-1-The-Walking-Dead-Daryl-Dixon-Small-Card-Variant-Rare-NR-/251191242482?pt=US_Action_Figures&hash=item3a7c2a2ef2
  7. I sold a SS 9.6 copy a couple of months ago for $1750.
  8. . . . as are the collectors of their work There are plenty of younger collectors coming in to replace them those old timers. I'm only 24. (thumbs u I thought I was young when compared to the old timers here (26).

  10. That's a pretty book. Was Carmine pretty coherent. He has to be getting up there. Not very coherant at all. The CGC witness had to basically tell me what Carmine said, because I didn't understand him. You can see from the signature and remark, that his health is getting worse very quickly. If he signed something last year, the signature would look much more clear. It's sad to see his health deteriorating so quickly.
  11. I'm alittle confused with all these pages. How will all this work? When I submit a book, will CGC have an extra box to check off for pressing for an X amount more? Will Matt be setup with CGC at shows? Will CGC advertise Matt's pressing service at shows and their website? Or is this something completely different?
  12. Pretty happy with this. Bought it off the board last year as a CGC 5.0 Moderate (A). I decided to have Carmine sign and do a small remark on it at NYCC this year and while it didn't get a grade bump, the restoration came down to Slight (A), which is good. Carmine asked me where I got the book from when I had him sign it. I guess he rarely signs these, and was impressed. This is the third SS on the census now.
  13. That was one weak point in tonights episode. No way one zombie ate all of Lori......Really?? Greg Nicotero said the walker did on Talking Dead. He said the walker dragged her body off and ate so much that he had to sit down. Lori's hair was around his mouth.
  14. Great find. Some of the stuff is good reading, but alot of it is decent money. I sold almost the same exact run of Bleach for almost $200 by itself.
  15. I think they're alittle soft. I thought my copy was a 9.2 to 9.4 book and it came back a 9.8.
  16. Very crazy episode. Emotionally exhausting. Carol's outcome was somewhat given away on Talking Dead
  17. My submissions from Baltimore and Philly came back. The ones from Baltimore came back before the Philly books because of Fast Track. Pretty satisfied with everything, when I consider what I expected and paid for everything. Adams totally damaged this one himself, but I'm still happy with the sketch, especially since Adams stopped doing $50 sketch covers after Baltimore. Only disappointment, but it's my own fault. I was mistreating this book while I had it at the con.
  18. No GPA data on 1 2nd print 9.8 For 9.6, only 3 sales around $500 and 1 at $905 in the last two years. Thanks for the information. Its probably a good thing that there is no GPA data on 9.8. That probably means I can throw it up for $4-5k BIN OBO and see what happens, since I can just make up any number on it.
  19. While we are on the topic of the 2nd print, can anyone give me GPA stats on a 9.8 (blue)? It looks like they will be adding a third copy to the census shortly. I don't know if I should use GPA since prices are all over the place with the 2nd print and there are only 2 other 9.8s on the census right now. One of the copies is up on eBay right now for $10k, and the guy claims to had offers of $2500-3500 on it, but I wouldn't be shocked if he were telling the truth. http://www.ebay.com/itm/TEENAGE-MUTANT-NINJA-TURTLES-1-CGC-9-8-2ND-PRINT-1-OF-ONLY-2-HIGH-GRADE-/310371779208?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item4843998288
  20. Has anyone confirmed the rumour that it went from being limited to 500 to now 1000 that Larry was talking about. People were coming in on Thursday and buying 25 copies of this, and they finally limited it to 5 by the end of the day. At the beginning of Friday, they put a limit of 1 and doubled the price of the book to $10. By the middle of the day, they were completely sold out. I got only 1 copy, but I got the B&W Retailer one, too.
  21. Just bought this from a friend. A personal grail of mine. Signatures from Turner are common, but I don't see too many sketches. I'm thinking of getting it inked by Steigerwald sometime down the road.
  22. Bought this stuff from a flea market today. The Dreamcast was $8. It's complete and working. I got the guy to throw in the Power Stone 2 for free. Even without the manual, its still probably worth more than the whole system. Sorry for the picture, but camera's been acting up. This was a $1 from the same guy.
  23. Got all this today. Found the games at a garage sale. The lady told me the entire box was $15 and guaranteed they'd work, so I thought why not. About 20 pretty decent games total. Systems complete, except the SNES is missing the RF. This was all $1 each from a flea market. The best part of it, since I'm a big Ali fan. Souvenir program from the Ali/Frazier III. Alittle rough, but still pretty cool.
  24. Not a comic, but I just bought this today from the original owner. Original watercolor piece from Shelly Moldoff.
