Great books! I'm going to try to do the same thing and I'm shooting for 18 signatures at Baltimore.

Whenever I get into the conversation about Bob Kane creating Batman, I always make sure to note that Bill Finger also co-created the character, but gets zero credit. It's pretty sad. It really bothers me that Bob Kane gets his name in all things Batman, yet Bill Finger is neglected.

And to get back on topic, I'm surprised at how good the Justice League #1 New 52, 2nd print is still holding up in price. It's doing much better than the 1st print.

This may be true, but if you look at the people picking it up in a LCS then I have seen plenty of youngsters snapping it up or even being turned away by the owner as they are barely taller than the counter. It will certainly have its moment of nostalgia further down the line where it will begin to shine again. I reckon more people will look at it as fondly as I do some 80's / 90's stuff that is frankly either now dead in the water or massively over printed by comparison to be considered scarce by any stretch of imagination. Here's some 90's nostalgia for ya! If you are a Venom completest you can't forget this one. I'd love to get that book SS'd. Who can forget the House Party dance?

Damn, this book has gone nuts. I bought a CGC 4.5 from here for $1200 less than 6 months ago. I guess I did good.

Don't call them lucky until they actually get them. With only 50 of these being sold, and the hectic nature of SDCC, alot of people at the show will unfortunately, walk away empty handed.

The first issue looks to have gotten a very small price bump, which is definitely a good thing to see. This is such a great book.

Why is Man of Steel #18 hot? Is it because people are assuming Doomsday will be in the movie?

That's what I thought too. I didn't know they made a movie, certainly didn't know that they made a comic.

There are not that many games that get 9/10 or 5 out of 5 star ratings anymore. I only play cod otherwise I would have picked it up, reviews are amazing. The game itself is amazing. Great story, and awesome gameplay. A cross between Walking Dead and Uncharted. The main character reminds me of Rick Grimes. I personally don't think the comics will increase much in value, since the game has been out for over a week.

Jimmy, totally agree 100% hate this show and one of the biggest reasons is the laugh track. The other reason is because the humor is written by troglodytes trying to sound intelligent. Lastly, because its just not funny.... I loathe the show. Si!! I mean, you can do good shows with a laugh track, but don't play it every half second. Sledgehammer! Uh, The Big Bang theory is filmed in front of a live audience. I don't want to keep going off topic, but live audiences seriously laugh at anything.

Any reason why Justice League Dark stuff isn't heating up? It seems that a movie is definite.

I go to Wade's a few times a week and his Phantom variants are COVER PRICE until the next issue comes out. That means you have a whole month to get your Revival Phantoms. Of course he's going to sell some on ebay to people who can't get them. Aren't you?? Hell, at least it's not the Ghost Variant shop in Philly that NO variant is cover price ever. See they still have a stack of WD 101 Ghosts for $20 a pop they've had since the day it came out. Wade's basement is a treasure trove the couple times a year he opens it up and blows out the books for a buck and unlike some shops he doesn't say "Can't let you have those Walking Dead's #53-70 for a buck even though they were in my buck area." Great shop, great people I've seen a Phantom variant on the shelf once. And that was #6 when they had all of them after asking. The original argument was the shop is disgusting. Look at the indie section. It is trashed. Chew is on the bottom shelf bent in half. Saga is priced different in every box. Yes they have stuff and you can find what you want eventually, but it is dirty. So saying most of the shipments won't be NM like everyone wants is the correct thing. Oh and the eBay box? It's just a bunch of shipping boxes behind the counter that they stack stuff in. Buy from their eBay if you want, but whatever. I won't give anyone a heads up again. The shop definitely is gross. I'm afraid that a rat will come running out when moving something. The Image section is terrible. Finding a NM copy from there would be impossible. The variant pricing varies from what I've seen. I've been to alot of shops, and this one is close to the bottom of my list.

They are definitely cool guys. At the signing on Thursday, I must have talked with them for over an hour, and we only left because the store was closing. They're big comic fans that just love to talk comics. Here's a picture of them from the Thursday signing I forgot to post.

I appreciate the heads up. I wouldn't have gotten anything if not for you. I think I had 2-3 pressable 9.8s today, but I had all my books signed. I don't know much about original art at all, but I knew enough to buy art from a first issue. I also knew enough to try and haggle alittle. Here are pictures of my haul from today's signing. Frank and Chris were telling me about the 2 page spread they sold (for an extremely reasonable price), and how there were 3-4 people who passed on that due to price. Who would be crazy enough to pass on that? This is going to be the cover for the second print.
