  1. Hello! We are so happy to hear that you decided to join! The membership credits are applied on the back end. Nothing is billed until it reaches our facility, once it is billed, we will automatically take off the $150. The online form is not programed to show account credits so you can estimate the deduction yourself from the total listed on the form. IF for some reason you do get charged the full amount, please contact customer service right away and we will make sure to refund the credits back to your card!   2. There is a $5 handling fee per submission form that is stated online. The Grading tiers that the book would go under would depend on the declared value of the book. If you believe the value to be under $400, then it would be a Modern tier, if over $400 then most likely a Standard tier. You can speak to someone who can help walk you through this as well by calling 877-662-6642 Monday through Friday 8am to 8pm. 

  3. Hello! Unfortunately, signings by multiple artists for the same book are typically only possible when those artists are doing a multi-signing at the same time.  We cannot hold a book or submit it for another signing. Getting one book signed by multiple artists that are not signing together requires the book to be resubmitted after completion by each talent and a new submission form issued for the next.  However, there may not be adequate time in between signings for this to be possible.   4. Hello! This is a great question! CGC does not certify books that are sealed in a manufacturer's poly-bag. To have a poly-bagged book certified by CGC, you must either remove the book from its poly-bag or send written approval authorizing CGC to remove it. The words “Poly-bag removed” will appear in the key comments section on the CGC label.

    The label will not specify if any loose item was in the poly-bag with the comic. When the comic graders remove items from a poly-bagged comic, the items are returned to the submitter in a separate mylar/bag and board.

  7. Hello! We are so excited you decided to submit with us! You do not need to buy our kit to submit and may use your own shipping materials. At this time, we cannot press foil covers. Once received, our team will review the book and if it cannot be pressed, then they will email you to let you know and the fees will be refunded. Or you may cross it off the packing list all together and add it under the appropriate tier. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

  9. Hello @Captain Chaos Comics we have a refund policy that you must cancel within 30 days to receive a refund of membership fees. Unfortunately, you will not receive any type of refund if you cancel at this time. We can downgrade your membership now to a free account if you would like but it would be the same as waiting until it expired on its own. Just let us know how you would like to proceed.

  11. Hello! We are sorry to hear you received a damaged slab and possibly a damaged book. Unfortunately, there is an inherent risk when a collectible is subjected to additional handling from a signing event, which might result in additional defects and a lower grade.  This is a risk that the customer acknowledges and accepts when they agree to our waiver and the terms and conditions on the submission form.

    This being said, we will review the book for the damages claim. Please return the book by using the Mechanical Error form and it will provide a pre-paid return label. We are a closed facility and do not allow comic drop offs to members at this time. Mechanical Error submissions usually take about two weeks are so but because this is a review of damage it can take longer if needed. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. 

  12. Images of the CSG holder may be used consistent with the CCG Terms of Website Use and provided you include a photo credit. Images of Trading Cards, Sports Cards, and Comic Books are the intellectual property of their respective copyright owners.
