  1. I’m with you guys. I have reader copies I love to hang onto for just that reason..grade matters to us or we wouldn’t be here. I understand what you’re saying tho.. the grade is relative to the book. A lower grade in a rare old comic is just as awesome as a 9.8 in a new book. It doesn’t effect the love you have for that collectible.. anyway thanks for letting me ramble..
  2. Congrats on getting that sticker off .. I definitely would’ve taken a run at that.. not always a good idea. Depends on the sticker and how long it’s been there. I’m at 7.5 now.
  3. I’d say 2.5 as well. You get the best grade you can afford (general rule) Or you do without.. I’m glad you got a copy! It’s a very collectible key that a lot of collectors want in their collection and may not get because lower grade copies are going up and disappearing
  4. I’m at 5.5 a dry cleaning will get some of that dirt off and make it more attractive but because of the crease on the back I don’t think it could bump up to a 6.0
  5. Really nice book! Most of the ones I see these days are rags. I can totally see a 6.5 but I’m gonna go conservative at 6.0 the corners look a little too rounded and scuffed- really bright nice colors. Hope I’m wrong
  6. Well to me it looks like a 6.5 … but Mycomics shop prob had it as a 5.0
  7. If I say 9.9 will that make your day? haha looks perfect but I have to say 9.4 with a chance
  8. Wow. That is nice! Looks like The Yellow Claw! I can see an 8.0 for sure! Anything less and I’d file a complaint! (Just kidding on that)
  9. Back cover looks nice….. more to follow
  10. “Comics are back on the menu boys” no marvel chipping. Some insects got to it.. looks ragged along the edge tho so I can see how that could be confusing.. perhaps someone trimmed a little off to make it look better. 4.0 to 4.5
  11. It’s hard to tell much from the pictures. It would be a gamble… looks like it’s got some nasty staples that stained through to the back. With an expensive book like this you might want to focus on one that’s already graded .. if you buy raw it’s nice to be able to look it over in person.. if you buy from a established dealer you can feel more confident they will disclose everything and let you return it if something was overlooked. Since this isn’t the case you would be rolling the dice. It looks nice but it could be trimmed, color touched or a 5.0
  12. I’m gonna say 4.0 based on what I’m seeing. I want to go higher but the stain on the back could be extensive. Dependent on how bad
  13. I’m at 2.0 possibly 2.5 … it’s worn but everything is attached and there are no pieces missing.. that’s kinda how I see it. As far as C&P because it’s a “grail” type comic, even a half grade could be a sizable amount of money. If it was mine I would have them screen it to see if they think it would help.. they are experts and know the limitations of what they can do.
  14. I think you are at 3.0 did you say you had it pressed? If not it’s not a good candidate for that
