5.0 max with that water damage going to the front cover

I’m gonna say 6.0 it’s got a type of cover that seems to show every flaw .. and seems to look worse than it really is. So I hope I’m not reaching

5.5 … nice book. Just too much stress along spine to go to the next grade.

I think 5.5 as is. Has good chance to move into the 6’s

I’m at 6.5. Looks nice … bottom staple looks like it could be rusty tho

It is really hard to tell from the pics to give you an accurate assessment. It doesn’t look like it was cleaned. . I think tho it is not gonna be better than a 6.0. So you may have a position if you want to haggle

Nice looking book. I love the white whites the good color. And especially the sharp corners. I agree 7.0 and depending on how good that press goes 8.0 easy

I am not as confident on these types of issues but I’m am guessing 5.0.

Want to say thanks to everybody for the input.. when I first saw this book I thought it was trimmed.. mainly cuz the edge is so sharp. Pretty poorly done as well, but I did some digging and I found numerous examples of early Marvels that had some weird production cuts. Here’s one I saw recently.. not exactly the same but you can see the similarities.. it’s could be someone cut it … I honestly can’t tell for sure.. I will submit it for screening and will let you know if you’re interested. With the piece missing i automatically thought it was gonna be a .5 incomplete at best. If for some chance I can get a standard label at a 1.0 I would be pretty happy with that. Of course it would be “incomplete” in any case @grendelbo

I thought it might be glare … but yeah I will say the same. Those are easy to see on a black cover. Have to wash your hands before touching it. The oil from your skin causes blemishes and makes dirt stick to the cover

Just for fun give me your thoughts on how you would grade. ( I have my assumption) … it’s a bit of a train wreck. You won’t hurt my feelings. Had a couple pics on my phone so that’s the best I can do. Bought this a few years ago. I inquired about the miscut. He got it from the original owner who said that’s how it was. Everything is very securely attached and the only issue inside is in the photo. The miscut does not affect any of the panels ( which is hard to believe ) there is more to this story but I will save it for later
