  1. 2.5 to 3.0 everything is attached. That works in your favor
  2. No worries, just look at the tiers of grading offered on the website and associated cost. They have a cleaning and pressing company they use and there is a cost structure for that as well.. that was my point earlier there are a lot of determinations that have to be made as to weather the investment is worth it
  3. We are a little off topic here but yes the cost of grading is dependent on the value of the book because it has to be insured - also the more expensive books turn around faster.. these are other considerations you have to decide. Cleaning and pressing is a separate cost you don’t have to do it. It’s not associated with the grading\encapsulating process.
  4. I’m gonna say 3.0. The question to get a book professionally graded and encapsulated is determined on a book by book basis and the owners wants and needs.. the answer is often nebulous
  5. I’m at 4.5 because of the water damage and it’s tanning quite a bit. Assuming all the pages are attached at the staples
  6. I can see 9.0 that edge looks a little ragged just a production flaw ?
  7. 6.5 as well … I’m assuming that’s a tear at the top edge C&P candidate tho
  8. 4.0 to 5.0 the seller was just covering himself and didn’t want to give a false representation - I like it when they grade on the low end. The tear is what really hurts because it’s all the pages.. consider it a 4.0 as advertised and maybe you will be pleasantly surprised
  9. 7.5 I try to come up with my own opinion before reading the others and then see if I’m seeing something or not seeing something. The soiling and the corner crease. Very nice book.
  10. If the press and clean goes well I’m gonna be conservative and say 9.0
  11. Yeah you don’t want a purple. I also am not a fan of the qualified label. If you want to sell it the green is a “what if” and a lot of collectors/investors shy away. If you can get a blue take it if not save your money Mylar it and disclose the resto to the buyer.. for what it’s worth that’s my view.
  12. I’m in the 6.0 group … the distributor ink doesn’t really seem to me to come into play on these mid grade books. On the really high grades it may or may not be a factor. I’m still trying to figure this out. I think it all has to do with how much and where it is.. one of those things that could be subjective with the grader
  13. Not sure if pressing can smooth out the top but I see a couple other spots that would benefit. I think you can get a 9.0
  14. Agreed 7.5 I don’t know if “high grade” means the same thing for every book. Can be somewhat relative for me. it’s a nice book!
