Makes me believe in a higher up. Matt's up there looking out for me.
Simulation, maybe. Baker needs to bless me next with some rare treasures.

I do have the CL 26 8.0. I can't find the scan, just my under copy which I sold.
That CK 1 appeared on my phone. I thought someone was showing it off. By a weird convergence it was a California dealer showing it. He said I can have it if I want.
I'll keep looking for the CL. It's on the Baker thread....somewhere.
I think I posted yours from the CLink listing before. And that is a weird stroke of luck, wow.

I thought you had the graded 8.0 of CL 26. Also how did you get that pristine Canteen Kate?

Was someone calling for this?
Don't stop there. We need your 8.0 CL 26 & 8.5 CK 1 to complete the trifecta.

Enjoy the hunt and trust me it will feel great when you get your hands on these beauties. Don’t forget it takes a while to build an amazing collection and the people you meet along the way is priceless. This community is awesome and I always enjoy seeing what else is out there. The passion is strong.
Very well stated. I'm content with the Bakers I've accumulated in such a short span, especially lucking out on several with good prices. But seeing the impressive collections of everyone else confirms that the hunger for more is real. Problem is, even if you have the money it doesn't make these books appear. Some are just plain hard to come by with collectors not wanting to part ways.
Cinderella Love 26 & Diary Secrets 28 are on the top of my Baker want list right now, or a nice graded copy of Canteen Kate 1.

#14 was my first GA/pre-code comic, so maybe I'm a little biased towards them. But I agree their covers are underappreciated.
#13 is hands down one of my favorite covers ever. Was stoked to find a 7.5 copy.

ACG's, at least in the horror genre, get little respect. The covers can't match many of the other publishers fare at the time; Atlas, EC, Charlton, etc. Their four stories usually only included one W/O a happy ending.
Hadn't really noticed. Personally, I always enjoyed covers by Whitney and Bald on ACG. Definitely some memorable ones.

Even still, I guess I love the hunt more than the hold.
Bums me out I wasn't around for your old sales threads. Missed out on some nice gems.

That's what they're most known for. People say it's because he doesn't actually want to sell his comics so he keeps them overpriced. It's more like a museum.

Secret Wars 8 always baffled me. Almost 30k graded copies, it's not rare whatsoever but always plastered on social media.

Out of my wheelhouse but good luck. Stunning book. How long have you had it?

Interesting how the banner at the top of the front cover is advertising the longevity of the art team. Obviously, that was a concern at one point.
I've never seen that before on a comic cover. Were readers getting fed up with no Todd involvement (I'm guessing) & a rotating roster of artists?
