  1. Nice! Just to be clear, I wasn’t referring to you specifically, but collectors like you, who don’t really dig The Fantastic Four. I love all the SA Marvel annuals, even the titles that I don’t focus on. Straw-Man is keeping a Millie annual #1 warm for me!
  2. I’ve often thought that folks like you should collect annuals. Not super into the FF, but maybe you want some representation of them in your collection? #1 is a super early Spidey appearance, 2 you know about, 3 is an unprecedented melee, 4 is from the absolute height of the silver age, 5 is the first solo Silver Surfer story, and 6 is my single favorite comic book of all time! Go get em!
  3. That’s a beautiful patina. I’d wear it, though!
  4. The end of the Kirby run. The end of the Silver Age. Romita is great, Buscema was great, but nobody could do it like Jack Kirby. I owe you a 108, too! Forgot the picture.
  5. Those are wonderful. Look like higher graded books.
  6. Two days without a Spidey post is too long. I’d like to see #s 18 and 19, please.
  7. I spent about 18 hours with 98 being the center of the universe. Long story, but I had a broad choice of original art page. I went with this.
  8. FF 95 also introduces another tweek to the title logo. Fatter.
  9. Crazy good Saturday, I owe four. FF 94 isn’t among the greatest, but it is loads of fun! Quick! Without looking it up, who’s the villain in 95? I thought not.
  10. My prize for naming the comic is I get to use your thread to vent about a pet peeve. It matters where you put the “just” in a sentence!
  11. 37? First Drusilla? It IS 37! You just posted it in the EC thread! Ha!
  12. Monumental funny book, Lou! Congratulations! 🍾
  13. Finishing up the Skrull Gangster World arc, my sentimental favorite FF story. This copy of #92 was the sold to me as a NM+, and was my pick for my first CGC submission. Amazing cover, and as a bonus, contains maybe my fav panel in comics. #93 is the first comic book I remember ever seeing. The circumstances are seared into my brain.
