    Epic #7

A buddy of mine is a big Wrightson fan, he met him in Tampa at a show recently and Bernie singed a number of books for him (not SS) they even went to lunch together. Really nice guy. Not exactly sure how all that relates to BWS signing books.

    Epic #7

He does not sign any longer...
  3. You left out the signature that is in the Eerie #5.
  4. I think I used a few more colorful words at the time, but yeah.
  5. You can drop a few grade points in a blink of an eye, the guys at cgc don't even take a chance with those resealables, they cut them above the seal.
  6. Lucky you, wish I could say the same... Check the shirt, near the collar.
  7. Be sure to get the bigger magazine top loader, I have both sizes and the smaller ones (8 1/2 interior) are a pain because sometimes the backing boards are too big, try to find some slightly larger, ultra pro makes some that are 9-1/8" interior. (Ultra-PRO® Stock Number: 81192) Not saying you can't use the 8 1/2" just that you have to buy bags and boards that all match that size, even then they are a little snug. (I have about a dozen of them, and I don't use them very often) Just my experience, you might be fine with the smaller ones Also, resealable bags are bad juju, I used them for a while until a flap snagged a book and made nice little white spots. (and it was not a white book) Once again, just my experience, YMMV
  8. Eerie #23 is a Classic, too bad they didn't have the picture of cousin Eerie(and logo) in the right position before going to press, they all look like they were cut short along the top.
  9. Still adding books, long ways to go.
  10. I know the sellers, and yes it was sold.
  11. #22 is probably my favorite Sutton cover & story....
  12. Back cover of Monster Mania #2 (Frazetta) not sure if it counts since it is a wrap-around.
  13. It's the same book, the serial numbers match, I think his camera has trouble with gold. Scanners are the way to go for books, not cameras. I will say the seller is legit, he used to work for CGC years ago. I have had dealings with him in the past. We have even traded books before, and that takes trust. So no, it's not a fake.
  14. Yup, but they were private sales, so no GPA.
  15. Those books just didn't get the advertising they deserved. I am pretty sure that 9.6 Tally-ho #1 sold for at least 10k a couple of times. The Vampirella #1 9.4 signed by Frazetta and Adams sold a couple of times for around 5k. Only problem with GPA numbers, it does not cover private sales. (or even advertised books that were sold outside of ebay or wherever)
  16. Yup, there is just one other 9.8 #9, and I know where it is... It's sitting right next the only 9.8 #9 that is signed,
  17. They were in the Beverly Hills Auction Just type in Warren in the search block. Some good prices, I got sidetracked and did not bid.. I was really only interested in a couple issues that I don't have signed, but I will survive..
  18. Played games for year, only started collecting complete or sealed copies about 6 years ago. I do have a few that are graded, don't have photos of the group, sorry. So far, these are the graded ones, ungraded and cib's would take too long. The majority are 85ish, but good enough for me. I sent most of these in for grading over the last few years, still have lots to be graded. 19. Yeah, maybe it was nephew, related in some way. Either way, Frank helped with the girl on that cover, and I think it was Kelly's first commissioned piece.
  20. I regretted not getting some bigger prints he had that were really not that expensive. I thought I would be spending more on comics. He also had a few originals I should have picked up. He was very friendly. I had on a Frazetta t shirt and he commented on how that was his teacher. Frazetta was also his Father-in-Law, and he helped with a few pieces. The girl on the cover of Vampirella #6 for instance, Kelly was having trouble with her, and Frank fixed it for him. Take a look sometime, it's a Frazetta girl, especially the face and hair.
  21. I listed them at guide price of $357 obo, and accepted his offer of $280, well below guide. He only lives 2 hrs away in Jacksonville.....why would you want to make people so close irritated? I reported him to ebay... BTW, I did send him high rez photos of the backs, but ebay shrunk them down, guess that is what he meant about quality of the photos, but I had pretty much had it at that point.
  22. decompositions52 "Unless i get detaled pictures front and back of each issue, and a written guarantee that no pages are torn ,folded or defaced in any way im canceling my offer" _______________________ I provided the photos, and double checked for any of the above, sending this msg. The front of each issue is in the ad, those are actual scans. I just went through and double checked, there are no torn pages, folded pages, defaced pages or cut coupons (you left that out) I am sending photos of the backs since it takes longer to scan. I sold a similar group last month, this is what the customer had to say. "Outstanding in every way- Product, packaging, prompt delivery, communication" These are exactly as stated, if anything they are higher grade than stated in the ad.. Thanks _____________________________________________ decompositions52 "If im paying this much for these books i want better pictures" Did you not look at my feedback? Here are some examples... Accurate listing, speedy transaction, VERY well packaged = professional!!!! Very securely packaged, freebies included, very fast. Outstanding transaction! Item received as described. Great transaction. A++ Exactly as described, well packaged and fast shipping. A++. Condition was better than I expected and shipping was fast. 11/10. great price, would buy from seller all day if I could Exactly what we were expecting. My son loves them Thanks so much Not sure what else I can tell you... Honestly, I almost did not accept your offer since you had 0 feedback, but I figured everyone was at 0 once upon a time, so you deserved a chance. But if after all this, you still want to cancel, that is your choice. Thanks, ___________________________________________________ decompositions52 "Im canceling this deal" No worries, I cancelled it for you....also posting your name to the comic collectors society for blocked bidders. _________________________ decompositions52 "Big baby" Eh? Big baby? A snappy comeback indeed for someone wasting my time...
  23. Add decompositions52 a 0 feedbacker to the list, bought books, then wanted photos of the backs, which I provided,(fronts were scanned) plus a guarantee there were no torn or folded pages, which I provided. Then complained the photos were not high enough quality....really? Finally, it was just easier to cancel the order than to deal with more emails.
