  1. I read quite a bit this year but didn't really track anything. Think i'll play along next year and track stuff better this coming year. Congratulations to the people on their reading accomplishments. It's nice to see what people like and peoples different taste in books. I'll definently be leaning towards Marvel in my reading choices. Getting my digital library prepped for the upcoming year :banana:

  2. Not sure if they could do it or not but on the ASM 300 if Todd doesn't trace his old signature on that book won't it still get a "Todd Mcfarlane written on cover "notaition still for the unverfied sig and take the grade hit or a yellow signature label with a green qualified upper banner for the unwitness signature.

  3. From what I'm seeing this has become a North Hollywood bar show. I will not be attending with myself and the group of three people I go to shows with. This looks to have gone from a pretty decent show with Harley, Terry and other good local dealers to a show that decided they wanted it in a neighborhood bar. Myself and my cousin posted on ther facebook page with our dissatifaction with the location and the response has just been to delete our posts on the facebook page.  They may have had a semi decent show this go around without their attendance base not knowing how bad the location was.

    How was the show in N Hollywood? Thought about setting up but noticed the venue change and had a prior commitment. Decent crowd?

    If I would have know what I know now I would have 1000% went to Berkeley this weekend. And if I know Sckao  was setting up that would have been the cherry on top. Last book I bought from him was a ASM 121 at the old Steve Wyatt Heyward con years and years ago.

    @Robot Man

    The crowd was fine the location and area were not the best. It was in a good size bar and I saw drinks being serveddoh!with kids at the con.  The layout was small and weird I will not be going to this one again at this location. If they move back to the Hyatt then yes maybe I will think about it this just left something to be desired. F/VF --Brad is where most of my books came from and I picked up a nice bronze Monster of Frankenstein 1 plus a good amount of run filler for my sets.

    Oh and the cherry on top I almost got tee-boned as I was trying to leave the con. Parking was really really bad and getting back on the busy main street was like a blind gamble. There are so many good cons in California there is no need to go to one that is rough.

    I enjoy some of them too. The IRS collection. The Kubert Collection. Etc.

    Elveen's Comics unfortunately had to cancel last minute and couldnt' make the drive up from SoCal.

    We're not coming up this time. We went to a show last weekend in North Hollywood too soon for another trip plus fathers day weekend. But and I know this one hasn't happened yet,but hopefully the next one will be a go for me. Have a good show and I really the like few books I have from the Kubert collection it's nice having something from one of my favorite big five war creators even though the Kuberts I have are Marvels :makepoint:

    Oh and too bad about Elveen's his stock is always fun to dig through.

    I didn’t go to the Ontario show. Even though it was about an hour away. The dealer list just looked so slim. I just go to buy GA and my options looked pretty dim.

    There wasn't alot of Gold there. I didn't leave with a pre-code Atlas horror book but I did dig out some late issue marvel transformers that made me happy along with a bronze martvel Jungle Action 21. For me, my cousin,my youngest son,and one of my cousins (and now my) friend it's more about the trip the hunt and just hanging out together. The bs talk on the way to the con and the war stories of what was bought passed on and crazy con stories always make for a fun day.

  7. I would have been there with 3 other people if it hadn't got cancelled. I quit buying advanced tickets because a few years again for an Ontario show I wasn't sure if we were going to get over the grapevine. During the summer you never know if they're going to shut it down from wildfires. For this Ontario show as we were on the 5 the flames were very visialible from the freeway but I had bought advanced tickets the freeway wasn't closed so we pushed through. Hopefully this and Terry's show come back. I have shows I like to hit in the LA basin and those are 2 of my groups favorites'
