I came across several backing boards containing the name and address for Bargain Box in Zanesville, OH.

The address listed on their Facebook page is 575 Harding, Zanesville, OH

What is the address listed on the backing boards you got from them?

Thanks!!! How did you search it? I've been trying for 20 minutes, nothing. Maybe the hyphen did me in.

As you know, the search function sucks fried monkey butt.....so I didn't even bother using it.

I just clicked on your profile.....then clicked on "See their activity".......then clicked on "Topics" which shows all the threads you've created.

I found the thread you were looking for on page two of the results.

Here is a prime example of how the holder should keep the comic intact via a hard impact. As you can see there is no staple tear with this one because it is secured in the holder.

Adding photos in case the listing is archived/removed/deleted in the eBay system.

    Staple and cover are fine:

The staple area looks like it might be ok.

But that book definitely suffered damage to the bottom right edge on the back cover.

You are not misunderstanding anything.  Not sure if anything can be done for the PL since I believe Brad is getting his books back and I am getting a refund, but boardies should be aware of the situation.

According to Brad when he previously asked where his books where he was told they were at cgc and hadn’t been shipped back.  This is all second hand information, as I was not involved in their dealings.

Deadlift is stating this was a mistake he is trying to now remedy, but I won’t be dealing with him again.

In my opinion.....something like this could be considered a Hall of Shame level event.  I would like to hear from @Deadlift Collectibles about it (I realize he's supposed to be having surgery at some point, so may not be available to comment right now).

To claify again, I'm going to detail out the time line I gathered from your post in this and the other thread...and you can correct me if any of it is wrong.

    • Over a year ago, Bronze AgeD BRAD sent the three books in question (ASM #300 CGC 9.8....Batman Adventures #12 CGC 9.8.....Marvel Team-Up #141 CGC 9.8) to Deadlift Collectibles to get reholdered for him.
    • When Brad had previously asked Deadlift where the books were, he was told they were at CGC and hadn't been shipped back yet.
    • You (Gsims718) then purchased these three books from Deadlift Collectibles.
    • A month later...Brad contacts you and provides proof that those three books you purchased from Deadlift Collectibles actually belong to him.
    • You are currently waiting for refunds for these three books to clear before returning them.

This all leads me to one observation and one question.

    1. If someone had three of my high value books for over a year just to get reholdered.....I would be up their arse every other day looking for updates.
    2. Once your refund clears....who are you going to return the books to?  Hopefully it's to Brad.

Maybe I should arrange so the spines are down, I just don't get slabs that have movement that would damage the edge being stored the other way though I probably should just default to spines down.

I store my books on their side with the spines down.

I figure that eliminates any chance of the slab "holding" onto the cover while the interior pages slide down over time and rip the staples free from the cover.

    I love doing this..

and God I hope he has more comics.. lol

I'm picturing a desk with one of those green bankers lamps on it.

Sitting at it, while dressed in a suit and tie.....an 8 year old Ronald formally stamps the first page on each of his comic books.
