  1. I thought the latest was that the -script was still being written and the movie had not hit the actual production phase yet?
  2. Please let someone hit the BIN on the copy on eBay right now. I picked it up for $10 last fall.
  3. Until 9.8s hit the $500 mark it is not a Copper book that is heating up. Sales have been moving up over the past few months. I guess pre-movie/tv-speculation is starting for Lobo?
  4. and the RT score would've been 3x the WB sweet spot And it would have done all that without any changes to what we saw on the screen. DC will get there. Marvel took time to build up to where it is at now. Marvel came out of the gate w/ IM- still considered one of the best superhero flicks. WB has laid 3 turds in a row. Imagine how much they will make when the figure it out considering their 2nd tier property "turd", Suicide Squad, has taken in more worldwide than IM, soon to be domestically as well, and has already topped Winter Soldier domestically by a huge amount.
  5. I voted for Cap 1 for the simple fact it introduced the most popular GA character for Timely/Marvel. I look at Marvel Comics #1 as the same as Detective #1 or one of the other pre-superhero "first" DC books - they hit the stands first but it was Action #1 and Tec #27 that had the 1st appearances that matter.
  6. Pressed. The book had non color breaking bends that knocked it down to 4.5 originally, I presume. Even then, it was nicer than my 5.0 to start with.
  7. Not a new entry, but an upgrade via resubbing my old looked way better than the grade 4.5:
  8. Badass? I thought that the photo was a shot of the girl who plays Catwoman from the Gotham set.
  9. Interesting. That is quite the team behind it already. Maybe this dog will hunt after all? It makes sense - DC needed an answer to Luke Cage and Black Lightning is a natural choice.
  10. Interesting. I have a 9.0 BL #1 up right now. Maybe it will finally sell?
  11. Break even was a while back. It is into profit mode now.
  12. i'm hoping RT releases all those positive reviews it's been hiding and the RT score hits 28, blowing past BvS. Sorry, what are the critics saying? WB can't hear due to all of the cash registers ringing in tickets to the movie.
  13. At least that had decent Finch artwork I pulled that copy out of one of my dollar bins and was amazed they would have that scene in the comic. It made me read the rest of the series. I like how Giant-Man dealt with the Blob afterwards.......
  14. Hopefully we see a big weekend and it crosses the $300 million mark domestically.
  15. Cartoon, I can see that. Live Action - it will not last a season.
  16. Well, if the rumor of Slade being one of Waller's bodyguards had played out in SS, the enhanced super soldier angle would fit.
  17. Nice. It should top MOS domestically after this weekend. This film has done great for WB/DC at the box office, and based on what I am seeing, with merchandise for the 12 - 20 something crowd. Depending on how long the film runs for, I wonder how close it can come to BvS domestic numbers as well? A $1 million Monday is not a bad way to start the week. It is interesting to see how well SS is doing relative to the Marvel 2nd tier properties. SS passed Winter Soldier a while ago domestically and should have a great shot at topping its worldwide total as well.
  18. Sell now or hold for a bit? It will be great to have a villain who is able to go "toe to toe" with Batman...I know we had Bane but I don't think he was used to his full potential? The book should pop more closer to the movie, but if you have multiple copies now is not a bad time to sell some either. FWIW, 9.6s "popped" to $300 with the news, but they have been steady sellers in the $250 - $275 range for the past year and a bit. The best gains will be with the 9.8s. I had a $325 price on a 9.6/White on eBay, and that went bye-bye. Luckily, I still have a 9.6 and 9.8 to list next week, and about a half dozen more in the pipeline. Seven 9.6s sold yesterday alone, per GPA. Once the bottom is established, it's only going north from there. Nice. While 9.6s will go a bit further (likely $400 top - there are so many copies of NTT #2 out there), it is the 9.8s that will see the biggest gains, just like we have seen with the other Copper/early Modern keys like BA #12, NM #98, ASM #300, etc. That being said, it is a good time for anyone that has held onto copies the past few years.

  20. Nice. If it can top $700 million then that would be a great start to launching the SS franchise.
  21. Better sell them now to the card collectors !! That was the person I bought the comic collection from.
  22. So.............this is the big news? On a serious note, I have a stack of Bloodshot #6 that could use a price jump.
  23. Awesome news! I agree with the posts above - he will be a great villain for Batman. Too bad I sold off so many of my 9.4 and 9.6 NTT #2 undercopies the past year and a half years.
  24. Just got back from going with my kids and a Marvel fanboy friend and his kid (we were supposed to go last weekend but had to postpone it). My buddy and his kid liked it - his son thought it was awesome, as did mine. My buddy and his kid thought it was just as good as Civil War, and this is from a Marvel fanboy family. Right after the Deadshot solo shooting spree in the first battle my buddy commented that he would love to see a solo film for him. He also commented on how seemless the 3D effects were. The advances in filming tech are making 3D seem like normal now which is great. This was the second time my daughter and I saw it and we both enjoyed it more than the first time as we picked up on new smaller details that we did not notice the first go round. Even more impressive was the turnout for a 1:20 pm matinee weekend showing - the largest AVX 3D theatre was well over half full. The number of families with younger kids was interesting as well. Like I posted earlier, it looks like people were catching up after being on vacation. It could lead to a nice next weekend as well.
  25. This movie is really connecting with young women. My daughter has several friends or their older sisters that have seen it 3 times already. Wow. There are a lot of people in my kids sports circles that will be seeing it this weekend or next weekend now that they are back from vacation. It could set up for an interesting long weekend coming up as people will be back in town that have not seen it yet.
