  1. Looking at pricing on other BA and CA keys, 9.6 might was well be 4.0 when compared to 9.8 prices.
  2. Congrats! How does the grading between CGC and CBCS compare in the 9.8 range?
  3. Flash Rebirth #1 started at $10 then $12 and $15. Flash Rebirth #1 variant started at $10 then $12. No takers at $15. Flash #1 - Regular $6 and variant at $8 (I only brought 1 of each and sold them) Green Arrow Rebirth #1 only brought a couple of each and sold them - both covers at $10. Green Arrow #1 - Regular $6 and variants at $8. Wonder Woman Rebirth #1 Variant - $10 (sold several - I did not bring any regulars by mistake) Wonder Woman #1 - $6 (sold several) and Variant $8 (sold one or two) Suicide Squad Rebirth #1 - $8 and Variant $10 (sold a few of each) Superman Rebirth #1 - $6 and Variant $10 (sold one of each) Nightwing Rebirth #1 - Regular $6 and Variant $8 (sold a couple of each) Batman Rebirth #1 - regular $6-$8-$10 and variant $10 (sold a few of each) Batman Regular #1 - regular $6 and variant $8 (sold several regular and all of my variants) In the end I sold half a short box or more of Rebirth books on Saturday and a few on Sunday. I did not have them out on Friday until end of the day.
  4. DC Rebirth and Regular relaunch #1s sold well at the Edmonton Expo this past weekend. I was surprised at how fast they were moving considering a couple of LCSs still have some on the shelf. The regular new Suicide Squad book sold well at $6 but a bit slower at $8, while the Bermejo variant to #1 sold well at $15. Harley #1 at $6 and the variant at $10 were steady, while the DCU Rebirth #1 was a fast seller at $10 and then $15 - I think I am out of copies now. The Rebirth #1 variants all sold well at $10 to $12, except for Aquaman - I did not sell a single copy all weekend.
  5. You need to be careful. Many people are leery of signed copies and there's no guarantee it will sell at the price you want. As it is, ASM #129 isn't the best long-term Bronze investment as prices are dropping. First and foremost it is IH #181 and then GS-X #1. Prices hold on these two gems, so perhaps sell your copy and upgrade to one of these? I'd strongly disagree with you. Sure IH 181 is the King of Bronze, but ASM 129 is a strong 2nd or 3rd IMO. The book's ALWAYS been popular as long as I've been collecting, and that's going on 20+ yrs now. And according to GPA, prices are still going up on ASM #129.
  6. Rebirth #1s and Ongoing #1s are selling well this weekend at the Edmonton Expo from $6 - $8 for regular #1s, and $10 - $15 (Bermejo SS #1) for the variant covers. The Rebirth one-shot is selling for $15 as well.
  7. No, unfortunately. I just sold my last decent copy a couple of weeks ago to a regular at a local show. I did not really want to and it was in the box by mistake, but since he is a good customer I parted with it. I wish I had take pics of the hoard I had around 2003. There were 12 - 20 copies of each of the Bat/Tec keys in 8.0+ (as well as GL #76, Supes #233, Avengers #93 and most other Adams covers). Those were the good old days when HG BA collections were a dime a dozen.
  8. I was cleaning out my Photobucket account last night and found these shots from four or five (maybe a couple more?) years ago with the last Adams stash I had accumulated. I really wish I had held onto a few of them, especially the #251s as they now sell for multiples of what I got for them. The raw Batman #234 in the picture graded out at 9.6.
  9. Interesting. I had no idea who Circe was since I just sell, but do not read, Wonder Woman books.

    Gotham

I was wondering if they will ever bring her into the batman TV or cinematic universe. She had a decent run in the late 70s in both books. How did the new Ivy look?
  11. Wait, what? A far simpler explanation than some sort of widespread Disney-Marvel conspiracy to villify the recent DCU movies is: They just Weren't. That. Good. I liked Man of Steel a lot (for instance, it was far better than Superman III, IV or Returns). But his killing Zod at the end was antithetical to _everything_ the characters' stood for since at least the mid-50s. (Even accounting for Bosco & others' explanation of innocence lost in the evolution of the character. He still shouldn't murder. Ever.) That was a much bigger afront than what IM3 did to the Mandarin. And again, those same critics lauded The Dark Knight and the Dark Knight -- maybe because, unlike BvS, SS, and the Ghostbusters reboot, the films were (gasp!) _good_. This isn't rocket surgery. And no one's out to get the Wonder Woman movie. Yeesh... I was fine with him killing Zod. How else was it going to end? They suddenly decide to sit down and sing kumbaya by a campfire together at the Kent farm? The whole point was he had to choose between Earth and Krypton - he made a choice. That being said, critics are irrelevant and sheeple for the most part. As soon as one of them gets a hate on for a film franchise or studio a bunch of others will follow. And don't kid yourself that the studios will not influence critics views. It is smart business.
  12. Howard is a pleasure to deal with. Fast payment and good communication. Thanks!
  13. And, Age of Ultron did even better, but it did and still sucks horse balls. Civil War was not great either, but did awesome at the box office.
  14. This one is much better than the B&V #1 he did recently for Archie.
  15. I like this cover. The Rolling Stone cover swipe has done well before on other titles.
  16. It would be awesome if they worked Black Adam into the next Supes movie.
  17. Exactly. There are better ways to do this. That being said, the biggest issue for Valiant was the partnership with Sony instead of another studio. At the time it made sense, but unfortunately Sony Pictures has become a bit of a mess since then.
  18. And this was her first acting experience? Wow! Wow? She barely did/said anything! And I ended up liking her more than Croc, Boomerang, Enchantress, and Slipknot combined. Yep. Slipknot... Was only there to demo the exploding head device I know, but he was allegedly the best climber in the world or something. They should have let him climb and make a fantastic escape first, show off his skills. Then blow him up. And maybe give him just the smallest amount of backstory, so we care a little first. But I know, no time due to the edit, which is hard to believe since DC has never had that problem before and Warners has so little movie experience that there's no way to no ahead of time how much -script will fit into a given movie as it regards to running time. Now that would have been superb! A dramatic escape ending in *bang*. As much as I like the movie, I do think Slipknot was a bit of a let down. I was fine with it. Slipknot is a lameazz character to begin with.
  19. Looks like it. I guess the announcement that Sony is the partner should have been a hint.
  20. Henry Cavill arm curls bigger weights than this "Super"man.
  21. Set up at a one day show in Calgary yesterday. I foolishly did not put out my Rebirth and new #1s until late in the show. Nightwing #1 is still in the stores but was a quick $6 sale. Super Girl #1 Hughes were selling for $8 - $10 across the show. Harley #1 and SS #1 regular covers at $6 apiece. It was nice to see the interest in the new books despite the fact that most of them are still on sale for cover at the larger LCSs. I also had a ton of requests for New 52 books, and other dealers that brought them were doing well. People were also asking for the Bombshell covers - I think that these have great long term potential.
  22. Isn't it Marvel Now Now? or Marvel Right Now, to be followed next by Marvel Really Right Now?
  23. The best film Affleck was in is Dazed and Confused IMHO. McConaughey was great in it as well. Having grown up in a small town, I can say it is a film that stands the test of time well.
  24. Wonder how much higher this NTT #2 CGC 9.8 will go? http://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAuctions%2Fdefault%2Easp%3FFocused%3D1%23Item_1123399&id=1123399
