  1. Here is my entry to the club - just got it back a couple of weeks ago:
  2. Damn. I only have a couple copies of this book and might have to flip one now......
  3. The people that pre-ordered are going to be pizzed off......
  4. Take their money and buy more to sell! Seriously, though, right now is a great time to be a collector/hoarder - if you have multiples of any of these books you can flip them for a great return to buy something new. (thumbs u
  5. This seller has moved 4 so far at $20.27 USD: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sensation-Comics-Featuring-Wonder-Woman-4-ADAM-HUGHES-COVER-DC-1st-Print-NM-/281481063156?pt=UK_Books_Comics_Magazines_US_Comics_ET&hash=item4189942af4
  6. I thought that there were one or two others as well - someone did a few posts on this in a Copper thread a while back.
  7. Let the good times roll! I found a copy I did not remember that I had while pulling books for small local show this past weekend.
  8. I am waiting to load up on them during the Boxing day sales at the LCSs here. I have a few nice copies already, but at 50% off of sticker it is worth buying a few more just in case.
  9. Wouldn't JLA #137 be the one to get for the Captain Marvel vs. Supes battle?
  10. Shouldn't a Leifeld SS book sell for less than an untarnished one?
  11. November has tended to be the worst month for eBay sales for me. I avoid listing anything from October until the post Christmas/early New Year run up. I won a few lots in the Sunday Night Heritage auction for less than my initial bid tonight. This was the first time in a month that I took home anything with lowball bids. There were plenty of low prices to go around. It is just that time of the year.
  12. These are not for sale right now. I was just posting them to join the club. (thumbs u
  13. Don't think I have posted these here, but I have these two in hand now.
  14. I hit three different 7-11s tonight looking for nice newsstand copies. I looked at 15 copies, but only bought 1. Most were damaged slightly or mangled. I wonder how hard it will be to find VF/NM or better copies going forward?
  15. While there are plenty of copies, the demand is higher. NM #98 has been an easy sell at above OSPG prices/full GPA for raw books the past few years now. It is like ASM #300 - you put them on the wall and they sell. If this book follows the same pattern virtually every other movie related book has, we will see an initial big jump, followed by a plateau/slight pull back to a new high, then closer to the movie another decent jump, followed by slower growth from there.
  16. My favorite treasury is the Batman one featuring the first three stories with Ra's Al Ghul. It has a nice Adams cover and classic interiors. I have found it to be harder to find in any grade, let alone high grade.
  17. How dreadful. However did you manage...? I know. I had to settle for buying that POS 9.0 I posted to ensure I had a decent CDN newsstand copy. FWIW, the direct edition only came back as a 9.6 so it is just as well it was not a CDN variant.......
  18. I was pleased with the result of this submission. I was not expecting an upgrade on my other HG copy (9.6) but was glad to see it.
  19. I picked up these two copies recently for speculative purposed due to the number of raw #1s I have sold at shows at full guide this year. It was interesting - I moved two runs worth of #2-8 this year as well as all of the issues I had from #150 up at guide. There has definitely been an uptick in interest in Spawn the past year or two with people actually asking for it at shows.
  20. Spidey #238 75 cents is the clear winner (for the moment.) I don't know about that - a Swamp Thing 37 95 center would do extremely well in this market right now, as would a 75 cent New Teen Titans 2. Yeah, ST #37 makes a pretty fair answer, but there is no 75 cent NTT #2. The Canadian versions didn't come about (for DC) until 1982. I wish that NTT #2 had a CDN newsstand variant as the 9.8 I just got back would have been one as it was from the same collection as all of the other newsstand variants I posted....... I am curious to see what a 9.8 newsstand WT #37 would fetch. My copy is only a 9.0, but it should be a $150+ book. The copy from the collection I picked up the other newsstand variants in was a stinking direct edition......
  21. I posted scans of these a few pages back when I got the collection last year, and now here is how the books graded out: Copy 1 Copy 2
