  1. The Action Comics #1 1988 interest right now amazes me. My VG sold for $39, and the NM-/NM copy I have up has 162 views - I only normally see that number of views on big SA and BA keys.
  2. The book that impresses me the most month in and out is: 10 Harley Quinn 8 $2.99 DC 76,827 Even better, next spring this will be a $6 - $10 book at the local shows.
  3. So, how high will the final price on this book be: Clink's B&B #28 CGC 9.2
  4. Shazam #1 Is doing quite well. Glad I was tossing 9.0-9.2 copies of these into my ebay grab bags in 2012 ans 2013 for 1/3 guide. I am glad I snagged this lot a couple of months back from Heritage. #1 is only a VF, but #25 and #28 are beautiful copies. Too bad the 100 pagers are not worth slabbing due to low values - there are some nice potential 9.4+ copies in the mix. http://www.comiclink.com/itemdetail.asp?id=1017698
  5. Annual #3. Deadpool's second appearance doesn't move the needle despite NM #98 being so hot (we point copies of X-Force #2 out to kids who drool over NM #98 when we do shows, and we can't even sell them at $5). I can't think of any Copper second appearances that have broken out; maybe there are some but I can't think of any. Why would second Nightwing be a big deal over any other second appearance? I would be guessing DP's 2nd appearance had a much higher print run, but I understand your logic here. I am trying to think of any other books where the 2nd appearance commands any type of $$ in the modern/copper world. Currently I cant think of any. Isn't Venom's second full appearance ASM #316? That pulls in some money. It's also Venom's first cover, though, so there's that factor to consider. ASM #316 has a cool cover overall which is what sells it. That being said, Venom covers across the board move well at shows - you can price the common ones at $10 - $20 and they move.
  6. ok seriously.. this made me laugh But yeah.. recent sales are up Why? Is there some movie reboot rumor floating around? Nah people are just gearing up for the annual McFarlane signing. Spawn has been selling well for me at shows the past two years. The post #100 issues sell fast at $4-$5 apiece, some for higher, and issues #1-100 at guide. In the past I would hate to see Spawn runs in collections, but now I am hoping for them since there is decent interest in the title again.
  7. So, no action on my NM-/NM copy of Action #1 1988 reprint, but the VG copy is up to $25 already with a day left. Action Comics #1 1988 Reprint - VG Action Comics #1 1988 Reprint - NM-/NM
  8. Good stuff Ryan! Gonna have it processed for the Expo? Cheers, Cole I hope so. A lot of it I am just going to blow out in dollar bins as I want to turn the funds around fast to chase a couple of other collection leads I am working on. I include enough $4-$10 Silver/Bronze/early Copper books in the dollar bins that they move fast. (thumbs u
  9. I finished picking up a 6500+ book collection via kijiji this weekend. A ton of drek, but some good stuff as well. It was mostly Copper and Modern Marvel and Image, with a smattering of DC, but there are decent low to mid grade late Silver through Bronze runs of some of the Marvel titles as well.
  10. I dont' think the Marvel Milestone copies of Action 1 sell very well at all. In fact, I don't think anyone has ever sold one. I meant the AF #15, ASM #1, X-Men #1, etc....
  11. Too bad I did not follow through with grading the three 9.4+ copies I was thinking of sending in with my July modern submission. Do the Marvel Milestone reprints fetch top dollar like this as well?
  12. I was sorting some stuff yesterday and found 5 copies of it. Time to list them on eBay ASAP, I guess.
  13. Looking at the action, it seems like shilling. Check out the number of $2 increment bids from the "underbidder" driving the price up.
  14. Harley is hot right now. At the spring shows we were moving $2.99 cover priced issues that were still at all of the LCSs for $6 - $8 apiece from the new series. Harley, Deadpool and WD are forces to be reckoned with at conventions......
  15. If anyone is looking for signatures or to chat with the creators, the SaskExpo in September will likely be a good venue for that as it may be a smaller show (this is the first one): http://saskexpo.com/guests/artists-and-creators/
  16. I have a few, but not for sale right now. If you need some of the others I might be able to help you out.
  17. Most other Venom covers are heating up, though. I can get $10 - $20 for later run ASM Venom covers at shows easily.
  18. Right now it looks like he is keeping the US "Uber" program a secret for whatever reason, and is not shedding too much light on the Russian efforts. I wonder if he is saving that for an eventual Cold War era Uber arc in the future?
  19. It is interesting to see that Outcast is now popping BINs at $10 on eBay. I guess the speculation cannot stop the Kirkman effect? Not bad for a well speculated on book regardless.
  20. Snagged a couple more #6s at the limit of 2 per customer LCS today. Might as well flip while the market is hot for them.
  21. Supply and Demand? It's the first issue after the TPB, which may have picked up new readers. LCS owners may not have accounted for this, which is why #7 had a print run of approximately 1500 more than #6. I knew #1 was starting to heat up a bit because of the option, but didn't know about the other issues until Authority pointed it out. Hopefully it keeps gaining readers. It'd be nice if Image had three books that held their own against the Big Two every month. +1 It has nothing to do with the nudity on page 1, and everything to do with it being the first issue after the TPB. Possibly. I just find it odd that the book is so popular all of the sudden. FWIW, someone did hit the BIN this afternoon on my #6A - so that makes it #4, #5, and #6 cover A (all 3) at $14.99 apiece. #1 1st is still sitting, though.
  22. I agree, but #6 has 2 - 3x the watchers and hits in my current eBay listings of mulitples. In the past, #4B was the hot book.
  23. Outside of the "nudity" panel, is there any other reason why #6 is generating so much interest? Looking at my current listing of multiples on eBay, it is the most viewed issue and has the most watchers by a longshot.
  24. I called last Thursday and landed the last 2nd print #1 at my file LCS. There are a couple of smaller stores I need to check out this week as they should still have some.
