  1. The silver cover on ASM #361 2nd looks better than the 1st print IMHO.
  2. The point was that it's bad for business to raise the price of a comic based on one inquiry being seen as an increase in demand. That is bad business. My question is how doe we know that the dealer has only had one person ask for the books? I find it rare that only one person asks for a specific book when I am selling at shows. If they do, it is usually for an obscure/low demand independent book. If I have it with me by some chance, I sell it. If not, then when I check at home to dig it out I will inevitably look at the pricing on eBay and GPA just to make sure I am not missing something. Sometimes I have to price it up, and the buyers tend to pay the asking price regardless at the next show. Also, in RMA's Whitman 3-pack case, the more someone requests a book the more likely I am to double check the pricing on it.
  3. For Flash, some of the early issues introducing the different Rogues should see a bump. They are fairly pricey already, but if you look at the healthy gains that the SA Batvillain 1sts (SA or overall appearance) have made in the past year then the Flash villains will likely pop as well.
  4. I thought that the 1st appearance of the Huntress was DC Super-Stars #17 or something like that?
  5. I hit one LCS on Wednesday that has all sorts of stuff in the bins and I pulled a Supes Advs #5 and Action #835 for $3 apiece. This is the same place I nabbed a BA #12 for $4 last summer. The LCS that keeps on giving......
  6. What's up with Omega Men #17? I think it's a trick...where did you get those ashcans again, a warehouse? A lot of the LCS's around here don't have older stuff anymore, but they've been good to me grabbing hot books (and cheap back issues) put out in the last ten years. Okay. Just wanted to double check as I can probably land 10 or so copies of OM #17 if there is something to it.......
  7. Same thing with me. My all knowing and always pleasant brother Kevin76 was telling me two years ago to start buying this issue. And like everything he says , I ignored it. I think the reasons we do this is simple. One is pure laziness on our part. The other one is that mentality that it's around all the time, we take it for granted. We think "It's everywhere and it will be be"......It's like when you're looking for a certain book and you can't find it anywhere. You want it more......Same principle, only in reverse of course You should kick him hard in the nards next time you see him for not buying you a stack of 20 BA #12s as a B-day or X-mas gift when they were $1 bin books.......
  8. I loved this part in the auction title: HOT HOT LIKE FIRE BOOK
  9. I hope they introduce the League of Assassins and a young Ra's Al Ghul in the TV show as the organization manipulating things behind the scenes. Alternatively, a Court of Owls intro/tie-in would be cool as well..........
  10. This is the one that has me scratching my head: Hellblazer 1 FN+ -- $50 Fine Plus condition; no name recognition (at least to me) like MCS or Sparkle. Nice. I picked up another copy my LCS put up on the wall last week at $20.
  11. More Hellblazer #1 madness: Hellblazer #1 FN 6.0 for $54 Hellblazer #1 VG+ 4.5 for $43 doh!
  12. Almost all of the copies I have seen are pristine. The only issues have been dings due to mishandling by staff/customers on the racks.......
  13. Yea I skipped bedlam too I smile when I remember that I spent no money on Bedlam & Nowhere Men. You missed the boat. Both had incredible "windows" +1 I sold over 30 copies of NWM #1 for $25 - $40 apiece that I bought at or less than cover. The title still has some legs. I sold a set of all printings for #1-6 for $70 a month ago and my few remaining sets/copies of #1 will slowly go out when the new issues finally hit. I did not get in on Bedlam in a big way, thankfully, and only had a couple of copies, but I made money on them as well.
  14. There are copies at a couple of LCSs here that order big on new Image books with established writers/artists........
  15. My file LCS ordered large on this book so I think I need to drop by for some more copies as the copies I picked up from them last week were devoid of any of the dings being posted here.
  16. +1 If that is the case then we could have another EoW on our hands......
  17. Looks like Southern Bastards may have some legs.
  18. I agree. It was my least favorite Frank but somebody must like it. Maybe it will make a better TV show. The last three issues are quite hard to find. Many 16 year olds like me gave up on it after issue 3. I have had no takers on a set for over a year now. Glad it did not sell earlier at 50% of guide!
  19. While a couple of the LCS's I went to only had a few copies, my file LCS ordered big as the person in charge of ordering keeps an eye on new releases and goes big on titles he thinks will have legs. He is usually right. On the flip side, while they ordered enough ASM #700s to get the 1:700 Ditko variant, they did not order big on ASM #1 as they do not have the 1:300 Ross sketch cover........
  20. I like the silver 2nd print ASM #361 cover better than the plain jane one. (thumbs u
  21. What are these going for now? I had 10 or so copies of the 2nd print included in an auction lot win a year or so ago (NM New Mutants short box with complete run + extras for $140).
