  1. Great book! One of my favorite AS covers.
  2. Battle Action 3 has a really nice page like that by Russ Heath. I'll try to take a pic sometime. Other than those two, I can't recall any.
  3. That's not a bad looking woman. And she has the capacity to shave her pits in the jungle. She must be resourceful.
  4. Geez Andy! What lottery did you hit? Great books!
  5. Nice books. Those Torontos? If so, how's the paper?
  6. With a textbook "Heath explosion" to boot!
  7. What great background detail on the cover. Congrats!
  8. WOW! What great perspective. DC sure had a thing for man vs. plane images.
  9. Here are a few recent pickups. I can't get the colors right on the MIS 45, but it's a really bright copy. The MIS 46 was a book I had never realized was a washtone until recently. However, I was really delighted by the Murphy Anderson story inside. It's STUNNING art. I'm not sure if it was a different inker (looks like Al Williamson) or just an exceptional effort by MA, but it's wonderful. I've always been a MA fan, but this was just great to find.
  10. Exciting 39 - wowza! Exciting 39 and Thrilling 41 - yowza! Exciting 39, Thrilling 41, and Wonder 1 - WOWZA YOWZA! What a score Mike!
  11. Don't overlook the Clue Comics. Those were pretty decent and some of the early ones had a character called "Stupid Manny". Doesn't get much better than that.
  12. Sell all your Atlas war to me and move on to another DC title.
  13. Yup. That's getting my vote. Post one new thread a day. Or add to one thread a day. The beauty of this is that you then can break your sales items down into as many threads as you think appropriate, given their nature, but you can't pimp more than one at a time. (thumbs u What if you sell something from more than one thread in a given day. How do you acknowledge that?
  14. Paul, I tried to get this book from my local comic shop and they couldn't get it through Diamond. I like to support them when I can, do you know if there's a way for them to still get this or do I have to go through Fantagraphics?
  15. *Blasphemy alert* I'm not such a huge fan of Fantastic 3. *End blasphemy alert* I prefer Science 1, 2, Weird 2 among Fox books, and others by FH/Quality. Therefore MMC 9 for me.
  16. This might not be the exact right place to post this, but I don't think it's the wrong place either. I love this piece. I'm like Sir Mix-A-Lot...I'm hooked and I can't stop starin' (geez that was bad).
  17. Or crack the dang thing out of that plastic tomb!
  18. Thanks Adam. I'm trying to think who showed me that War Comics 11 for the first time. When you showed me a scan of that book about a year ago I was hot as fire to track one down for my collection. After a year with no luck and then I open my most recent purchase yesterday and nearly fainted when that was included as a freebie. I love these boards and thank you for showing me that incredible book. Also another Kudos to Buttock for the freebies. Not sure who showed you that either. But I am certain that buttock is a mensch! Hey! Who you callin...... (pauses to look up "mensch").....oh. Fay's enthusiasm made me feel all warm & fuzzy inside so I had to do a little nice-nice.
  19. Heckuva book, Buttock!! I really love 1950's Everett ... ASTONISHING and VENUS are two titles well worth going after!! Everett's brushwork from this period is incredible, and his imagination seemed totally uninhibited. I used to love reading those Everett Venus reprints ... Weird Wonder Tales (1970's) I think? Thanks! I had horrific luck with this book. 3 different bidding catastrophes - one each on Ebay/Heritage/Clink over the past year so I was glad to have a bid finally go through. The Venus books are too crazy right now for me to go after, but I'd love to get them.
