  1. 4-4500 give or take...minimal increase if any...
  2. right in line with expectations...some went higher than expected...some lower, but overall right on target
  3. on the 20K+ books I've sold to other dealers, most all reenter the market...the ones I've sold to collectors, rarely reenter... most of the high end guys I've sold too I'm still in contact with...and there are a LOT of great books out there that are not public knowledge...
  4. if I get a foot off the ground, I'm lucky these days
  5. lately, prices have been on the rise...a cheaper alternative to the mega keys that keep getting priced out of the avg collectors budget...I see good things continuing
  6. not much sales data to cull from, but I suspect non entry level seems to be about 10-12K depending
  7. I put a set of speed and catman together complete... never really tried aces etc...
  8. I have had complete runs of batman, detective (hero), superman, action, ww, sens, etc multiple times... right now, batman 1, 11 and 47 are among my favorites right now in my collection tec 31 and 69 and 71 are among my favorites right now in my collection... book I don't own that I want to in a bad way is star ranger funnies 2/1 (that would, essentially, help me complete the entire centaur publisher)
  9. Howdy. Actually been in the comic store biz since the early 90s ... In all my years I've only had one really good ga collection walk in. Have had all the sa and up keys make their way to the store, but Florida (at least panhandle ) is not a hotbed for that type of collector (though I have cultured many over the years) Do you offer tea and crumpets while a quartet plays Mozart in the background? if requested, of course...naturally, I said "cultivated", but siri changed (that's my story and I'm sticking to it!)

  11. Our convention model is about 50% gold/silver and about 50% bronze/copper keys. The $500-$500,000 crowd Our store is a bit opposite. We have 5/$1 comics upto about $500 So we literally buy everything that walks in the store, especially the .25-$1.00 books. Our customers love em!
  12. Store still in Panama City Just a bigger location
  13. When the mail order was going strong in the early to mid 2000s I worked it 10+ hours a day, 7 days a week I can work the store 1-8 hrs a day, whatever I feel like, and it's closed 2 days a week. The move was grueling but running is easy by comparison Yes, I have a captains chair in the store...you can see it in this pic
  14. lower grades sell pretty quickly at 2k a point Mid at 3 Exponential from there
  15. Is it just me or does that seem like an overly aggressive price on the 'Tec 29? That appears to be more in the price range of a 'Tec 31 if we are using Gator's Price Per Point (PPP) measuring gauge. Have always felt this cover has been relatively underappreciated as compared to the 'Tec 31 cover, but it would still be interesting to see what this book would go for. it's priced at $17k pp and no doubt influenced by the $30k sale of the 1.5 copy that recently sold on CC. Tec 31s are way over $20k+ pp these days. The last Tec31 @ 1.0 sold for $43505 on CC so well over $40k pp! BTW...i have a Tec31 @ 1.0 which I'm more than likely going to sell Tec 31 is not yet 40k a point. Entry level books perform at different pace
  16. Is 'Tec 31 still miles ahead of 'Tec 29 from a price point point basis, or is 'Tec 29 slowly starting to catch up yet? from a FMv standpoint still the younger brother but getting older (and bigger)
  17. I've been on record that I prefer 29 over 31 as well
  18. Cookeville Detective in the middle... FYI the bat and cap are personal copies. Nfs unless someone makes me an offer I can't refuse
  19. Hmm My wife just got down there today, wonder if it was her. Don't tell I want it to be a surprise. why didn't you join her. New store up and running
  20. Had a few folks visit store today and brought these to show them
  21. I should think you will offer this to me whence you are done with it!
  22. Tense moment on that cover - is he going to whip it out? mmmm. Bacon
