  1. What grade is your personal copy if you don't mind me asking? Anyway you can check into that sale of the CGC 7.5 at 110 000$ and confirm it or deny it.....you seem to have all the proper contacts? I just picked up a 7.5 for less than 70K for a customer...so I "doubt" it is a real sale...
  2. It can be both. I have a personal copy and I love to buy and sell copies.
  3. at that price, it is not really for "sale", as I would imagine no one in their right mind would even sniff that copy at that price
  4. a properly stored book, will not increase any rust migration.... I personally would rather have a single rusty staple than a chipped up right edge
  5. now that's a lot of green monsters
  6. My guess is pay avg gpa assuming a 10% variance from avg to high. Worse case 90% bc what motivation would seller have to sell for less (just send to cc or cl and get 90%). This formula works for the really high grade stuff. Lower grade would be a lower % naturally
  7. No ped I'm aware of. Likely just a distributor mark or initial
  8. Better. Old holders allowed a certain amount of movement within the slab that sometimes "shook" brittle pieces loose. The pressure of the new case should prevent any brittle pieces from "falling" off within the slab...bottom line is brittle isn't getting any better regardless of which slab its in Isn't increased pressure bad for weak paper? I would imagine it would cause a brittle spine to split further. At levels well beyond the slab pressure, yes.
  9. Vintage or modern? Vintage pop up for sale from time to time on eBay and hakes Modern spinners just take googling, but I suspect that's not what you want
  10. For cons I drive to I bring all. For some cities (sd,ny, Chicago) higher end For some like Tampa, a lower price point. But character specific would be to limiting...crowds year to year and even day to day. Diversity is key
  11. Thanks. This is very good information to know. Sounds about right
  12. Interesting. I've never seen that before. The other Penrod issue... Boot always has the rare goods
  13. I think it was listed on their site at 105K...
  14. TERRIFIC! mm I really associate with these...have a high grade set too, but these are able to be "enjoyed"
  15. Quit photoshopping books, no way thats a 1.8 The front is awesome for the grade. What's holding it back is a coffee stain on the back. Will post a back cover picture. Prods you to look at who posted the comment What type of coffee and what was in the coffee? Oh I'm WELL aware of who I am dealing with I don't drink coffee so I will send you the book to conduct an investigation Could be Gator's Coke Zero.
  16. I've never looked at graders notes but I submited a book that the pages I didn't think were bad at all ...did the corner flick test and no problems... Book came back with brittle pages but it's certainly one I'm happy to own
