  1. In the original scenario the buyer was a dope. I'm sorry to be so blunt but if you buy a raw 9.8 and it comes back a 9.6 it is what it is and should've been the end of it. If the buyer had paid for a 9.6 raw and it came back a 9.8 he wouldn't complain right? Those of us who regularly get books slabbed have seen countless examples of 9.6's sitting in 9.8 holders and 9.8's sitting in 9.6 holders.
  2. I don't think I've ever bought a HG raw book off eBay that had semi blurry cell phone pics, but I know people who have and have hit a jackpot. I'm not comfortable throwing my money at a risk like that when there are hundreds of items I can buy that have nice, clear scans.
  3. Good news, the buyer let me know the package was delivered today.
  4. Did you put in your listing that you're not a professional grader?
  5. I killed it on the movie hype, I had the right books graded and ready to go when the announcements hit at SDCC.
  6. That's odd, my sales were up 37% from 2018-2019
  7. I can't be 100% sure there weren't shenanigans going on so I may have done that.
  8. If he had just asked me I probably would've and not even thought about contacting eBay as I was not aware of their policy.
  9. He's not allowed to leave negative feedback in this type of case.
  10. This is why I was a bit apprehensive about it, but when I called eBay I didn't even ask them to close the case they just told me flat out it was closed in my favor because it was marked as delivered.
  11. I learned something new, I called eBay and they already decided the case in my favor.
  12. I recently sold a book on eBay and the tracking shows it was delivered yesterday. The buyer has opened a case against me and basically said that while he doesn't blame me, he wants it on record with eBay. My first inclination is to just give a full refund as I would prefer to believe that the buyer isn't up to any shenanigans. Technically I don't have to give him a refund since it shows that it was delivered, but I know how I would feel if I were the buyer and I hate it when a seller tells me " sorry, not my fault". Just curious how others would handle this situation.
  13. It must be all that free artwork you give away to curry favor.
  14. I use a double box method, it's a USPS Priority Mail Box 1092 inside a PMB 1095. With bubble wrap it's about 2 lbs for a single slab and depending on the shipping zone it's a little over $7 to almost $11. $7 would be near me, $11 would be California, New York is a bit over $9.
  15. If you're shipping from the CON US in the CON US it shouldn't cost more than $10-$11 if you're shipping to the furthest zones from you. I use the free priority boxes the USPS supplies and buy my own bubble wrap. Generally the cost of shipping a single slab using that method through eBay costs me between $7-$9 via USPS Priority.
  16. I used it recently in "combat" conditions for the first time and it really emphasized how slow and clunky it is now. On my PC at home using it as I browse through eBay it's not as noticeably bad as it is out in the field on my mobile device
  17. Have you sent the tickets out yet? I don't remember if that was already mentioned. Thank you
  18. You don't know the half of it, he kept messaging me all afternoon with the weirdest stuff. First he called me a horrible person and and then he started asking me if I thought he got a good deal on a book he bought
  19. mentalpasient Admitted drunk, who's argumentative, belligerent, and a low baller to boot.
  20. Just curious what others think about Go Collect? I was looking at the site and it looks kind of interesting and the mobile site seems pretty easy to navigate.
  21. I understand you wanting to help a friend out here, not the way I would've done it but I understand it. It's also OK to listen to the customer and not all change is for the better. My two favorite examples are New Coke and Microsoft removing the start button from Windows.
