I appreciate the comments folks. This is one of the few Marvel comics that I have never owned. In fact I can't remember ever seeing it for sale. I'm sure it was but I never noticed it. IMO it's not a key for the reasons some of you listed and probably will not go up much in value but for some reason I really want to obtain a high grade copy (9.4 or 9.6) for my personal collection. I love the cover.

If this topic has been discussed before I apologize. I'm trying to purchase a high grade example for my personal collection and noticed that it's hard to aquire in high grade because of the heavy black border. As of April 30 there are only 15 copies graded above a 9.4 I'm curious on the boards opinion if this comic would be considered a key? Recently I posted in the WTB forum for this issue and before I did I can't remember that last time I heard or read of anyone interested in it.

I have seen this type of post a couple of times recently. Is it now ok to discuss cheaper books in someone's sales thread? I know I'm getting up there in age but I hope my memory is not that bad. IMO this should never occur and I'm surprised it's happening.

Looks like he just changed his User ID name to polished _gem_comics. Obviously he has read this thread. You would think an innocent person would be arguing his/her point instead of remaining silent and changing their user name.

The point is the topic has already been discussed ample times. We have all the information and IMO there is no reason to keep discussing it. The facts have shown the Professor did not pull a scam and yes there are a lot more important things to discuss/worry about. We have 6 pages of discussion and it's not fair to the professor for this to keep going on. He did nothing wrong and made a judgement call which is his right.

Yes thank you cgc navigator. Now everyone can see that the Professor did not make one extra cent from this transaction and the story he told is spot on. Some of you were accusing the guy of unethical behavior with zero evidence which is becoming more and more in the norm in our society. Yes lets always think the worst possible scenario for people. Very sad. What a lot of you are not considering is this is not a black and white situation. There are some sellers that would have offered the buyer other payment options. There's some that would not have. The Professor decided not to sell because the paypal address was different and the buyer was new to the boards and he did not know him. That's his choice. It was his comic and especially during our current times he did not want to take any chances. Personally I don't see anything wrong with what he did and IMO this topic really needs to die. The buyer has said the same thing ample times and we are not going to see any new information that changes anything. We all have a lot more important things to worry about folks. I have some knowledge on this deal. Everything the Professor is saying is correct. He listed the comic for $1850 and sold it to the buyer for $1,700. The deal fell through when the buyer wanted to use a different address. The Professor did nothing wrong folks. He did not personally know the buyer and it's his right to use caution and not go through with the deal.

He's not even close to being hostile. I have dealt with the Professor a couple of times and he has always been professional. Your comments on a sales forum thread is completely out of line.

Personally I like them but I would never again buy a comic for investment purposes if it has a date stamp. My daughter got married last year and I had to sell ample comics. I sold pretty much everything at or close to GPA except for my date stamps comics and they were all keys. I was lucky to get 80% of GPA for the comics with date stamps.

I'm just curious if you can provide any proof that you sold 20 + copies of Star Wars #1 for over $2,000? We actually have a bet going (guys at work since we are bored) if you are telling the truth or making up stuff to make your argument look better. I got 3-1 odds that you are telling the truth so hopefully you can prove it since my money is on you.

I have watched the Walking Dead since the first episode and I will continue watching until the end but there is no denying the show has been on the downturn for the last couple of years. Years ago my entire family watched every episode together (7 of us). Currently I'm the only one watching. The same goes for my work buddies. I work in law enforcement and we had a group of about 10 guys that watched every week. Just like my family they all stopped watching. The main reason is the show has become so politically correct. There is no chance if this was real life the people would be taking orders from the people who are currently in charge. It's almost like the producers are trying to ruin the show. They have already lost half their audience and I think this is only the beginning. Hopefully things will change.
