It shouldn't matter what it says on the slab. Comics history is littered with examples of appearances being considered cameos (which is a misuse of the term, most times) minor appearances etc, and "first full appearances" which become more valuable than actual first appearances. Factor in the current mania for appearances in non-continuity books like Previews, and you have quite menagerie of opinions and values. If you like the character and you like the book - get it. If you are paying speculator prices on which will become the most valuable book based upon consensus or it being printed on the CGC label, you are in danger of being "the greater fool."
