  1. I really enjoyed this season and that was a fun finale.

So many questions to ask but lots of cool scenes in this episode. Funny stuff too.

I wonder what the last scene was about and who that is...

I'm looking forward to Agents of Shield and Agent Carter in the Fall.

I heard Agent Carter will take place in the 1940s,so we get to see the Howlers.

    And Haylee Atwell. :cloud9:

  2. Yep, that's correct. It's Adi Granov. He and a conceptual artist named Ryan Meinerding were the main concept artists for Marvel's Iron Man 1 and 2 movie.

To me, that is cooler than any recent Iron Man cover. That piece of art sets the tone for every Marvel blockbuster that has followed it. As we all know, without the first Iron Man there is no Marvel summer blockbusters every year.

    Much respect on that acquisition.

Thank you! I can't begin to tell you how happy I am to own it.

  3. Hi guys, I just have to share this even though this is for comics...it's a grail of mine and I'm beaming!

Concept art from Iron Man 1 movie - Mark 1 (hence my screen name)

Was used for a key scene in the movie and also to build the maquette/final armor in the movie. I'm honored and thrilled to own it.

  4. Not the best of pictures, just a quick snap of my comic room so far... I've done more since. It's not an entire room designated to my comics, but in my new/first home, I was able to split my studio room in half and have some stuff on display. Here is the start, haven't started to display any of my framed original art yet though.

People here know that I mainly collect rare signature books, or just signatures from people that I admire. Most of these books are signed by those people, i.e. Jeff Bridges, Mike Ploog, Sylvester Stallone, Alan Moore, Hugh Jackman, John Wagner, Mignola, Matt Groening, Stan Lee, Kev Hopgood, John Carpenter, etc. I have so many more books that I wish I could display, but I have since this photo added more shelfs with more comics :)

I did put a few art pieces up in my living room, Iron Man by Keron Grant, Hellboy by Duncan Fegredo and Bucky O'Hare by Michael Golden.

It's really fun to finally be able to start to display my stuff, I've hated them being kept in boxes for such a long time.

    Looks great Lloyd!

  5. I am probably in the minority here but I am curious if this bothers anyone else.

    The costume.

I have to say I think that the costume looks incredible from the trailers I have seen BUT...

it just doesn't look like it was made by a kid who is in high school that has no experience sewing and has no understanding how materials stretch/ ply and has very little budget because he is poor.

Neither of these look like they were made by Peter Parker high school geek. I know he is brilliant and can figure stuff out, but I just don't see it made by him:

And this design is way out there:

Yeah I am aware this is being ultra nit-picky, but it is a level of attention to detail that I find is missing in movies. I feel different if they take the time to show Peter obtaining materials for cheap, then perhaps cutting out a piece of plastic for his eye shape and then using some hotglue to secure it onto a mask that is on a Styrofoam head and drawing lines on the costume with a sharpie.

Show me how Peter makes the costume on a budget of less than a few hundred bucks.

That's really nitpicking. I thought the suit was the best it's looked in any of the movies.

Sure, a HS kid couldn't make it...but then again it's unrealistic to think he would become a superhero by being bit by a spider. Suspend disbelief.... :)
