This sounds like an interesting story.. do share.

Well, the rough outline of the story is that in late '76, early '77, someone was looking to get rid of a bunch of comics, and called a few dealers in the Boulder, CO area. to see if they would come take a look and make an offer. Those dealers passed on the collection because it didn't sound very promising/too much work. The seller finally got some hippie to come out to take a look at the comics, and that hippie ended up buying the entire collection.

And that collection of old comic books? It grew up to be the Mile High/Edgar Church collection.

And now you know the rest of the story!

I don't know if this is temporary or what happened. I was searching for bronze Hulk lots and all-of-a-sudden, I lost the ability to filter by age. Everything was combined into "comics books and memorabilia" with the only sub-category being comics. Is this happening to anyone else? This cannot be the new normal...

Oh yeah, this is not an error. Check out the category changes PDF https://ir.ebaystatic.com/pictures/aw/pics/catchanges/2021/May/NTF-update/US_Category_Changes_May2021_NFT-update.pdf

Purple text is retired categories. From the PDF, just one example:

Golden Age (1938-55) This Category is being retired

Golden Age (1938-55) > Horror & Sci-Fi  All listings are being moved into [Comics & Graphic Novels - 259104]

    Gunfighter 7, winter 1948

Now here's an EC  title you don't run across very often.  I think  in 30 years I've owned two issues.

Flat and tight enough,  but  general  wear,   soiling FC and BC, small tear upper edge FC. couple more  upper edge and spine BC,
large dogear upper LH BC.  Tight spine and CF,  offwhite - white pages.

    Asking $50

Use your coupon to get $10.00 off!
Code: YOUSAVETEN. Ends Mar 26, 2021. T&Cs apply.*

This coupon was wildly_fanciful_statement. I had the offer in my account this week, and tried to use it today. I noticed I no longer saw it in my messages, and when I entered the code at checkout today (on 3/25), I got a message "Unfortunately, this code no longer works. Please continue with your order."

I probably will sign up because I have a few things to list...but I'm past their "warning" which I think ended 1/26.

I was in the same boat. I ignored the 12/31 deadline, then the 1/26 deadline, and got a final warning that it had to be done by 2/1. I skipped that, too. I can edit my existing auctions, but I tried to list a new one yesterday and was denied.

You would think you'd be denied when you start an auction listing, but no... they let you fill everything out, and when you submit, you get a note at the top of the page telling you NO LISTINGS FOR YOU.

Adventures of the Big Boy 13, 1957. Before this issue the title was published through Marvel (Timely/Atlas?) and from this issue forward was published by Webs Adventure Corporation. Dan De Carlo cover art. This is in great condition, no tears, bends, etc (small corner bend on bottom right, just saw), sharp edges and corners. Hard to grade higher grade paper covers, but this is at least an 8.0 or better. I just sold one on feebay with a 3" spine split for $30. I am asking $75 for this one.

Margie #36 June 1947 Timely Pubs

Iconic and classic issue featuring Stan Lee pictured through entire story. Margie shows up at Timely Comics to protest her appearance in her own comic. Stan tries to calm her down and takes the teen age girl to a nightclub where the fun starts.

A nice, bright complete copy. Small stain in “R” in title. Centerfold is very neatly detached with no tears or wrinkles. Sold and no tears or creases. Slightly yellowed interior pages.

    $150.

To blame CGC as the end-all is not logical, to me, is my point in this.

Yeah, totally illogical for this guy to think to think that CGC made a grading mistake. Makes much more sense that the book he personally bought off the stands in 1988 was color-touched by someone in the distribution line before he bought it.

This is important, because ebay takes a dim view of sellers profiteering on postage.

Ebay's only interest in postage was when they were getting screwed out of their cut back when they only took a percentage of the final sale price (such as sellers doing BINs for 1 cent with $150 postage). Now that they take a cut of whatever you charge for postage, they no longer care.
