Depending on where you are located you can take them to a show like Heroes in Charlotte NC where CGC will be in attendance and hand them directly to a representative of CGC.

If you still deal in comics, especially slabs of SA, BA, CA- you know the market has tanked on all keys by 50-75% off their Covid Highs, returning to 2019 levels.  Marvel movie hype is DEAD. But adjustments in pricing on OA relative to the commodities market of CGC books is much more resistant. The birth page nonsense hyped in the OA market the last couple of years was an extension of all that, and is going to end badly for the last guy that holds, but no one wants to take the loss. But everything else besides, those 4-5K BA pages that shot up during Covid were $1500 in 2018-2019 and not moving too fast. Now dealers have a new problem: They have to continue to prop up the market, but they also can't get material as readily because no one that bought in the last 5 years is will to take the loss or risk of a loss on a flip or trade. HA inventory is highly dependent on estate auctions.  Boomers dying is forcing material to come to market and dealers have to bid it all up to maintain price perception, and win enough to show fresh inventory. Their natural advantage of not paying tax and paying with consignments keeps it all moving, but the velocity of those dollars has to have slowed down.

Leave it as is. Too many factors keeping it where it is. Not worth the insurance, much less the pressing and reslabbing costs you would incur to make it present better because the grade is not likely to jump.

Need some more information on this as I would submit both normal signature books and also remarque or sketch cover books. What is exactly meant by negatively impacting the comic. Many remarques cover some portions of the cover art. Is that impacted even though if that same book was submitted under normal witnessed submission from a show and such it would still get the yellow label? I'm not submitting a book if I'm just going to end up with a green label.

I've thought a couple of times about taking a copy of that book to Heroes and asking Zeck to sign it for CGC signature series. Just don't have a high enough copy to grade.

Overall I've had rotten luck with Whitman covers. I bought a bunch of them over the years inexpensively because of condition or in the case of several I bought at one time, they all had the same problem. Someone was not happy with the fact the issue number wasn't on the cover so they wrote them all in ink randomly so we wouldn't have to wonder what issue they were.

I've actually experienced faster than normal times with registered and heavily insured packages. Almost as if the USPS wanted it out of their hands as quick as possible to avoid any issues. Goes both ways sometimes!

So based on your original post we are talking about category 3 the rest. If this is a huge piece of your collection and what you want to cull the most you have lots of options. Typically I look at sold lots on Ebay to find what something sold for in any given grade. I take that amount and figure that Ebay is taking 15-20% of that amount. It may not be necessarily true, but it gives me a starting point. If you see that the bulk of your books are falling on the slightly lower side and don't seem to be worth it, take category 1 and 3 and see what your local shop or a vendor at a show will give you just to get them out of your way so you can concentrate on the nice books. Cash value will be pennies on the dollar, but most shops or vendors will give you more in trade. If you take the trade value and turn it into a lot less category 2 books and you've still left meat on the bone for the vendor and you didn't have to spend all that time on figuring out what to do with a large portion of books. If you need something to do in retirement to keep busy looking through and selling books a few at a time isn't the worst way to stay active.
Basically just do what feels right and enjoy.
