  1. Early this morning / late last night another auction ended ($7 lower than Friday's) which then triggered some users to hit BINs... I can foresee a dip upon copies arriving but 300 copies of a foil Superman variant is pretty low. Eventually they'll find their way into closed collections. (I can't wait to see the upcoming registry wars) I don't follow any 'influencers' but it seems telling that they didn't get their hands on stacks because the book is not showing up on any Top 10 lists this week. Even with a (now) +473% or $710 price increase after one week. The only available copies are now BINs sitting over $900 I guess time will tell.
  2. Milk & Cheese #1 signed by Evan Dorkin Purchased via eBay in 2014. (true) Story time... I first became aware of Milk & Cheese in 1993 via my LCS as I was buying imported copies of Deadline magazine regularly. One day the owner let me know there was a new Milk & Cheese strip. He said "I love Milk & Cheese so much". I had no idea what we was talking about so I replied "I prefer Wonderbread" as to appear hip. He looked at me questioningly, then said "I mean the comic, Milk & Cheese..." whilst opening the issue to the new strip. My eyes widened and the blood left my face. That was my first introduction to them. Included below are some rare Evan Dorkin related items in my collection. BONUS ITEMS: Milk & Cheese: Special Edition 9.8 signed by Evan Dorkin. This is the lone Signature Series copy of this book. It was an issue that had to be mail-ordered / paid for directly to Evan way back in 1997. I ordered two. Not sure where my second copy ended up... The Devil Puppet puppet. This was purchased directly from Evan via the house of fun website back in 2009 / 2010. Only a handful (pun intended) exist. It is one of my most cherished comic related items. It has been proudly placed in each home I've lived in over the years. I reached out to Evan Dorkin about my idea to post about The Devil Puppet puppet. He replied about his devil puppet that ended up being the inspiration of the The Devil Puppet character. "I don't remember any direct information on the devil puppet I have, which someone sent me back in the day. I don't even know if I ever had any direct information on it, I might have tried looking it up online at some point but honestly can't remember details. There's no manufacturing information on it, I have no idea where it came from offhand or anything else about it -- other than it's one of many versions of the devil that you will see in hand puppet form. I don't know if this relates to Punch and Judy, or Kasperltheater versions, or more modern religious-themed puppet sets. Sorry I don't have anything substantial to provide. He's a mysterious puppet someone sent me that I based a character on for reasons I don't even remember. I couldn't even tell you where the idea originated for his shtick of knowing the stories behind (fictional) pop culture developments. Maybe I was possessed. best, evan"
  3. This D23 the free variant covers for Amazing Fantasy #1000 Last D23 free comic was a variant cover for Marvel Comics #1000 (see link for recent completed sales for this variant) https://www.ebay.com/itm/255705354202?hash=item3b893a0fda%3Ag%3AFm8AAOSwNOdjAtoJ&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAkIboLd6eYFjUV3f3CxYnPvpLd7tRx2CAAK%2FjFEMM67bP6h7fsxdWyKUVX1Ydb14guK1LjXyk0JL6kOcwVxUsmL98BY82TFvQ2gL%2FBhHPeudPaZ5h2eHXxe16b%2BEpgka3I8QZR%2Bhv3HFf%2BWHQvxGeZIqig2Sax0Bro7OLpd%2Bjo8p7B78K%2FClVSbfelwTKT5S6fg%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR5Ks4NbkYA&nma=true&si=rAogUd3ddJH3FTMPETIMzrUzhGk%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 One of the two Superman books I linked ended tonight at $751 It was put up for presale by Big Time Collectibles one week ago for $149
  4. I imagine we'll see eBay listings about these variants once attendees have them in hand tomorrow at 2p PST. Especially since the last D23 variant (Mickey Mouse) still sells well. https://collider.com/spider-man-60th-anniversary-comic-giveaway-marvel-comic-panel-d23/ Apologies if I missed it, but CGC's 2nd exclusive 1/300 variant seems to be doing well... https://www.ebay.com/itm/403865541201?hash=item5e08431a51:g:WyQAAOSwj2FjE0Kx&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA4KB5a%2F%2Fwdi%2FLv8jj0UW0x2V%2BtfL%2BE2m4wZPRB%2Fa9zDQootFUJX8gA11KPl4O0vln1XLc%2FHq28vgbv6Sr8rnaLfIM0%2FQiUznnKvqN8ZNhqb1B33cB0Yr5379G56jO9NV76OZRbThD82C8QC70v9l3oYYbNmX4z0bcPpCmS1JjUito3p9Y40Veo4Ps1ggMze%2BYTtH%2BAYNfRAHoP%2BYTv0YYzcZcfp37vEPMG2pzsy7n7qtotF%2FXCkzWJ%2F88rjpvPSnLFGTOREfqOzTlmoe5FHypCvMuEuGS0C%2B6eCpWtV2L7%2Bxn|tkp%3ABk9SR6r6wrbkYA https://www.ebay.com/itm/255707799904?hash=item3b895f6160:g:NAEAAOSw6P9jEsQQ&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAoATLCyGQDSPDOxzP9%2FhVYnAfNa9ukjjvRJvIqT5kpFpQLiSuvYi8rofgQUSX9mTWAwFRGdJaqPlsKXsjNCorjcNdqIR2jA2gUInBZzb3WoJUJ2Tz6OVQElkcjy3lOzyRytYhWFp0Kq19UmO%2F%2FMPXkSp41nz7K%2FfVAl2Sv6nA6MwhWyJkiVuBOFT0o5wbI89qx7wC0hE8UvaMXAcalu8pgKY%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR6r6wrbkYA
  5. That is your perception. My perception is that it is a cry for help. Neither perception is incorrect to either of us. Very true. Thank you. True. Again, it is about perception. It is up to each person viewing the video.
  6. Because right now neither his business decisions or his relationship decisions need to be acknowledged or discussed. He is a real person NOT a character in a TV show. A real person who is in visible emotional pain. They need support right now. Then when recovering address their poor decisions. Do with / react to this however you'd like, but kicking someone when they are down isn't my thing.
  7. Great question. Go for it. I have a multi-sig image book featuring ALL the current 'presidents' and could never figure out a proper value for insurance purposes.
  8. I don't know the Black Flag owner from a stranger on the street or about his relationship with the people that were / are in his life. I don't agree with his business practices. What I do know is that video was a 'cry for help'. Males account for 75% of total suicides. In the US, one male commits suicide every 15 minutes. https://www.psychologytoday.com/intl/blog/talking-about-men/202109/the-silent-crisis-male-suicide This isn't something often discussed in this space, but I do think we should realize that it happens. To say that what is happening to him is karma is one opinion, but it diminishes the overall conversation that he needs help. P.S. Check on your friends...
  9. Whilst he may have made self serving business decisions that we mocked on these boards it is tough to see another human experiencing this level of emotional pain. Two of the closest people in his life made plans together behind his back. (his business partner and his wife) As anyone that has been through any experience similar can relay...over time he will recognize the signs and realize he was slowly losing both. He just couldn't see it. Just watched the YT video and at 4:26 he says some really scary things. He needs his family and friends right now.
  10. The Maxx #35 signed by Sam Kieth Purchased raw in 1998. This is the last of my original owner comics that are part of my personal collection. I purchased The Maxx 'off the rack' via three or four LCSs throughout the five years it was published. (None of them are still around today...) If you haven't had a chance, it is worth your time to read this amazing series.
  11. Best way to find out is make claims throughout social media that the BF 'acetate' books were judged solely on the cover (not the book as a whole) AND that the Bad Idea books were pay for grades. Gain enough traction and CGC may make a response or sue for damages. Of course they won't choose option because they don't want to open the door for the discovery process. Perhaps in next best thing is purchasing shares in their parent company and make your voice heard as a stakeholder. (that is my method of choice for any corporate issues...purchase shares, fire off email to investor relations / various C suite, state my case)
  12. Sold out in less than 2 minutes. Already on eBay. Expect 'influencers' to start hyping it and then their appearance on WhatNot... CGC has to know what they are doing when 'influencers' are in their facility assisting Jim Lee on the WhatNot stream.
  13. sold out in less than 2 minutes or so... i guess we should expect the eventual appearance on an influencer's channel and then they post them on WhatNot...
  14. email submissions@cgccomics.com Provide your CS number and your new address. I've done this twice....so far... First time received a confirmation email a day or two later. Second time had to send a follow-up e-mail a week or two later.
  15. Why destroy the extra copies? Black Flag paid CGC to give them 10 of 10 blue label variants. Then every other copy outside the original 10 graded gets a green label.
  16. I am confused by the site. It references 8pm EST as the presale time on the infographic BUTTTT currently shows it starts in a little over 20 hours from now on their countdown banner. Which would put it around 3pm EST...
  17. So...beyond the destruction of the 'extra' 700 books... If I am reading this correctly does that also mean that any possible 9.9 or 10 of this book will be destroyed?
  18. Found my original owner copy whilst cleaning up the comic room two months ago. Decided to see what CGC thought of it.
  19. After 10 long years I finally decided to get the rest of my various Saga copies graded. Would of sworn I had a second copy of the fifth printing to be consistent... And, an original owner copy of Scud #1 that I had forgot about.
  20. After 10 long years I finally decided to get the rest of my various Saga copies graded. Would of sworn I had a second copy of the fifth printing to be consistent...
