    Would love to join. :shy:

    Harlan. :applause: Welcome

Harlan Ellison's copy of Avengers 4 sure looks great for the grade Fantastic eye appeal for a low grade copy and nice PQ too. In fact the colors on his copy look every bit as sharp as many HG copies that I've seen! :cloud9:

    +1

I was trying to figure that grade out cus that sure is a sweet looking 3.5! The bottom edge and corner are a little rough but nowhere near 3.5 rough ???

  2. I think if I remember correctly, this is the clap to use for a sarcastic clap;) :golfclap:

I've been using :golfclap: as my "sincere clap".

I always used :golfclap: as my "sincere slow clap" like in all the John Hughes 80's movies and "Lucas" and "Can't Buy Me Love".

The "Lucas" school hallway golf clap scene might be the greatest thing in the history of cinema hm

I dont know, i think you both might be right. A good golf clap can be used as either sarcastic or sincere depending on the situation imo :golfclap:

  4. Not a 9.2 like the PHAT copy straw man scored but it does have about the nicest wrap ive ever seen on a MT1. Just arrived today courtesy of our own nearmint (who in case anyone here doesnt know, is AWESOME to deal with! (thumbs u ) .

I've been trying to score a nice copy for awhile now and missed out on 3 different ones offered here on the boards by a few minutes the last couple months. Definitely psyched to finally have a nice copy! :cloud9:

  5. I bought this back in the early 90's i believe hm

I've definitely had it for like 20 years and just recently got it slabbed.

I bet you paid like 20 bucks or somthing uh? hm:gossip:

God I wish every day I had been chasing the right things back in the late 80's. If even 20% of my allowance had been spent on quality instead of manufactured collectability. (shrug)

Not quite that cheap. IIRC, it was sold as MINT to me for like double guide so I want to say I paid like $80-100 for it back then. I remember it was WELL over guide and wondering if it would ever be worth what I paid! lol [/quote

I will take it off your hands for what you paid. I know you dont like the wrap on the book and its not a ped. :baiting:

Deal but only if you also buy all my pre-unity Valiants for what I paid for them back then also :baiting:

Already have or had (sold alot of them as sets years ago) most of them...bought most of them for cover price. Reading those back in the day...I thought that would be the new marvel universe. :tonofbricks::tonofbricks::tonofbricks: Finding a Harbinger #1 for cover price when it was on the cover of CVM (Comic values monthly) and it was starting to heat up. :cloud9::cloud9::cloud9: LOVED THAT STUFF! :headbang:

    Nice!

I wasnt lucky enough to get in at cover price with the Valiants. Lucky for me though, i didnt buy at the absolute peak but still paid some decent prices to get the early ones. I think i ended up buying Harbinger 1 for like $70 and solar 10 for like $50. Pretty pricey still but not as bad as some people paid!

  8. WOW to those two Vision books on the bottom :o Congrats! :applause:

Thanks! You KNOW I LOVE those two! Actually though, the Ant man one might be my fave, it's insane in hand! The top right one is pretty amazing also since the entire back cover is also sketched. I should have flipped it and took another pic to show it off since the back is pretty freaking awesome! doh!

Congrats on being the Boards #2 Vision fan.

Now THAT should be my custom title!
