  1. Good question. I believe the early books graded in late 1999 were Dealer “proofs” or samples, if you will(before opening to the public for grading). PQ was added to the label sometime in 2000. Would be nice to see a photo of the label/book if possible.
  2. Seller has both “sold” books relisted. Looks like more zero-feedback bidders are interested in these as well. https://www.ebay.com/itm/324391145329?_trksid=p2471758.m4703
  3. Just received books from jbud’s recent sales thread. Quick shipping, packaging was great, and grading in line with expectations. Happy to add these to my boxes.. Would gladly purchase books from him in the future.
  4. The customer service number is 1-877-662-6642. Alt. number is: 1-800-587-1897.
  5. I’m thinking primarily due to the spine split it earns 1.5 or 1.8. Does look a lot nicer, though.
  6. I'm not certain how individual subgrades are weighted, but if the two lowest subgrades match, that would be your final grade. So 8.5 rather than a straight average as per your card.
  7. If starting from scratch, a fun undertaking might be to collect all the books from a particular publisher in a given year. Financial considerations aside, you may find the real challenge is in locating random issues of less popular titles. Having the convention circuit currently shut down gives you fewer options for digging through boxes to find those books, though
  8. CGC encapsulates both standard sized comic books (71/4 x 10 1/4) and larger magazine formats. For someone unfamiliar with a particular book it’s a valid question.
  9. A photo or scan of a book and it’s problem areas would be much more helpful than just grader’s notes.
  10. Please add this to pile if it’s Young Romance, not Worlds Finest. Thanks.
  11. Please. Also #’s 27 & 28 if still available.
  12. It helps to get a look at the book from a top or side view in order to see the pages or to compare the portion suspected of being cut to the rest of the interior for variation in color or uniformity in how the pages present. Do you have any other pics to work off? Fwiw, just looking at the back cover (as is) isn’t ringing any alarm bells for me.
  13. I’d let the seller know about your concern with the book. See if an amicable solution can be reached. As was stated, the seller may not have been aware of the scuffing.
