  1. Please correct me if I’m wrong, but these don’t really give the creator clear direction as to where a sig might be most desirable.
  2. No apologies needed. Both books are cool in their own right.
  3. I was brought here by the thread title promising a #32, but looking at the #33 I’d think BC soiling, blunted corners, cbc’s, and somewhat moderate cover wear keep this as-is around 4.5-5.0. Interior condition may sway the grade to the higher or lower number. I’m not a pressing advocate, but I can see where this book would benefit.
  4. This comment made me take a look at some of these $1 reprints. No fingerprints, but the back cover ink is rubbing off onto the backer board on this one. Less than a year old.
  5. Maybe three weeks ago. He’s got things going on and is taking deliberate breaks from the online world.
  6. Are you asking about the practice of pressing/cleaning or the disclosure of such?
  7. That’s Robojo/bijoubaby I believe. There’s multiple threads here warning to steer clear of this seller.
  8. It’s ok to “touch” comics. I for one, would love to see what those two Black Lightning’s look like condition-wise.
  9. Sounds like ASM #106. Professor Smythe(the Spider Slayer guy) had built a camera system for the police department to watch the city, but Smythe was using the cameras to watch the police, ostensibly to commit crimes wherever the police wouldn’t be. The camera picked up Spidey with his mask off, so there was that element to the story, too.
  10. Little Lotta #’s 1 & 10. One and a half years apart and same background color.
  11. If you’re referring to distributor spray along the top or edges of a book, it can affect grade. It really depends on how light or heavy the ink is. It would help to see the book in question. Were “stains” mentioned in the grader’s notes?
  12. Submariner #47 Marvel Team Up Annual #1 Special Marvel Edition #16 Marvel Tales #35 ASM #113 Ka-Zar #1 Conan #23 Avengers #100
  13. You can find him on FB and IG. He’s working on new material called “Rubber and Glue”.
  14. Get the refund already and put your energy into finding the books elsewhere.
  15. No idea how many misidentified/mislabeled books are out there, but we also have a completed auction where there was no mention of which printing the book is, and possibly a buyer who thinks they were purchasing a first print copy. Quite a ripple effect one error can have.
  16. Today the mail carrier brought me a box containing the spoils from a recent sales thread of Gene’s. Super secure and safe packaging, the slab arrived in perfect shape, and the raws nicer looking than in the photos. Really happy to get these books and would certainly purchase from him again.
  17. Any future collectibility of Skull The Slayer vanished with issue #4 when new writer Steve Englehart turned the storyline on it’s ear and “killed” the supporting characters.
  18. Actually, it’s past the witching hour and I’m mixing up this book with the JSC/Sanders signed Danger Girl from the other thread. This would just be a raw Black Panther comic without any significant wear or markings to make it identifiable.
