  1. I wouldn’t think it makes sense just from a grading/valuation perspective to sub it to CGC with two large unwitnessed sigs written across the cover. Edit: Brain cramp. HOS wouldn’t affect his ability to utilize CGC’s services under normal circumstances
  2. Maybe a few folks are excited over the Eternals ad on the letters page?
  3. If you turn the spinner rack counter clockwise just a bit you can see a Warlord #93.
  4. Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers #1 (9th printing) with pink pages. The 3rd printing of #2 was also pink.
  5. Submit under the tier that corresponds to the book’s current market value(as is - raw, ungraded).
  6. Apparently the number was included when there was more than one. The first I remembered was #303. A guy at the shop brought this up and we spent some time looking over a bunch of covers to find the “spiders”. I think it’s a neat piece of trivia.
  7. I know there’s at least one on #310. Lower right. Probably start at #303 if you want to find them all.
  8. What are your plans for the comic? Selling, keeping, displaying, giving as gift, etc? All that plays a part in the answer. Welcome to the boards as well. Enjoy your time here!
  9. I was a big fan of Firestorm/Fury Of Firestorm. That second series ran 60+ issues plus a few Annuals. I rarely see the character or comics mentioned.
  10. For Marvel Comics, the “Volume” number indicates which series the comic is from. Value is dependent on the individual issue more so than which series the books from. ASM for example is currently on Vol. 6 #47 or 48.
  11. Very sad news indeed. I didn’t know Bob outside of the boards, but I will miss his contributions to comic book conversations here.. It’s meaningful to know that those of you who knew him over the years had such warm feelings towards him, and by all accounts was thought of highly.
  12. That seems like too much wiggle room. I’d be afraid of dinging the corners if/when the book shifts in the bag. Do the acrylic backboards add much weight?
  13. For those who were wondering, RMA is alive and well.
  14. Anybody else watch from about 34:00 to 35:30? Dylan explains his business math and the motto “keep the money moving” and the numbers make no sense whatsoever. The interviewer was even frozen for a bit as he processed Dylan’s comments but didn’t call him out.
  15. That makes sense geographically, but who made the “Dyldo” comment? I thought that factored in somehow.
  16. Just a point of clarification, the “star” stamp does not denote the comic contains an insert, only that the comic was sold through a military run bookstore or AAFES store. Welcome to the CGC boards. Check out the links provided above and also the Bronze Comics area. There’s several interesting threads on MJI’s and related subjects.
  17. Here you go. Conan #151 with “Bubblicious” noted on label.
  18. I believe these were only found in October ‘83 Marvel comics(July cover date). Not sure there’s much of a premium attached to them, but I’m sure someone collects the issues containing them.
