  1. Here we go! Same date stamp in almost the identical position, same NCB crease in the center of the spine. Our books are brothers, there's no doubt about that. Now was there a stack of these found and released? Or did all these books get printed and distributed and date stamped before they were sent out to stores? Lots of questions ;)
  2. I have the same date stamp as well, that's why I'm confused! I forgot last night to grab a pic..I'll set a reminder and post tomorrow (with my two Atlas copies ;) ).
  3. I came here to see if this book was pictured un this thread...is this particular copy yours? I have one I bought a number of years ago and I could swear this was my copy. I'm not home now, though I'll check tonight!
  4. We're on the list for the only theatrical premiere in the world! I think ;) This is my cousin who's in the movie (among many other movies, comedy galas, tv shows and commercials!):
  5. BTW, the copy on the far left is trimmed as the remainered copies would be taken back and then assembled and cut into big bound copies that would be sold later on. I figure this copy was pulled from one of those.
  6. Well it's Canadian and was sold on the newsstands? And it's an edition! Plus, I started this thread...I get some leeway ;)
  7. I still keep wondering what my French language copies of GI Joe 21 would go for...especially since there is no diagogue to have to translate ;)
  8. Yeah, I put a chunk of my collection into a 4 column Excel sheet that I then imported into CLZ (I don't need a ton of info in my comic tracking). It was real fast and easy to do and I now have the important part of my collection on hand at all times. CLZ is pretty good!
  9. I as well am a lifeling Marvel fan, and I was never a Kang fan at all. Not really looking forward to ther rest of this phase, especially with what's been released so far. I'll still watch though ;)
  10. Came to post this, leaving satisfied. The period that spanned those stories (bronze to copper) had the best stories consistently of all time.
  11. My cousin was in this movie and looks like he's going to premiere it on the big screen here in Montreal on Aug. 4th. I can give a quick review then!
  12. I am a HUGE fane of the whole first phase, and have rewatched most of the movies countless times. I really was excited for this round, though had inkling feelings that it might not be so hot. I had big laughs when Eternals and Shang Chi were announced, and suddenly those two properties were everyone's favorite comic forever. We all know that those two books completely languished in quarter bins FOREVER and just weren't good. If I could go back, I wouldn't have watched any of the new stuff and simply read synopsies. Marvel Zombies has a huge future, mark my words. I've put my money where my mouth is and bought more MZ books to stash away. Fun reading too!
  13. Have you seen all the movies and shows from this phase? I have and NWH really was the best, in spite of the huge issues it totally had. Every single other movie has been total carp, and never mond the shows. Hoping phase 5 will be better, and include the X-Men, FF and Marvel Zombies for real ;)
  14. Oh, this was BY FAR the best of the new Marvel material.
  15. Yeah, agreed. Since watching it when it aired and what's come out since, it's really not very good
  16. I've heard this from a few people, and it's contrary to my experience. I was helping with advertising for the Montreal ComicCon back in 2008 when he was a guest. I was invited to the supper with the guests (including Herb Trimpe and his family across from me...who were AMAZING people!), and I was sitting beside Art. We started talking about things outside of comic books and art and we actually got along really well, and he was really nice. We also went out partying after the supper and he regaled me with many stories about all the stuff he's done in his life (musician who's played with MANY big names, and other...fun things that Montreal is also known for ;) ). Maybe he's tired of the fanboy stuff, and was happy to not have to talk about art incessantly. We had a great night! On topic, I love the MZ books and have since their first appearance in UFF. The next day at the show, Art signed my hardcover and my Wolverine books he had just done covers for. Still have all those books, and a great memory!
  17. I am not a Halloween fan, and my GF at the time and I were handing out candy. I clipped a Post-It onto my shirt with Regular Human Bartender written on it onto my shirt, flipped a toothpick into my mouth and voila! I was Jackie Daytona. Very handy, and I will probably do that for the rest of my Halloween life.
  18. I still have my platinum copy I got when we had our comic shop back then, still in its original envelope and with the (badly photocopied ;) ) letter!
  19. Nice! I have also (somewhat surprisingly!) been greatly enjoying this show. DC still far outdoes Marvel when it comes to TV, no question. And I'm a Marvel guy.
  20. Yeah, I was not expecting that that ending at all. It's gonna be goooooooooooood.....
