  1. Check this out. Preliminary drawing for a new Red Sonja painting by Paul Abrams.
  2. Nah, by the end of it he should break even at least.
  3. They took the decapitated heads off of the comic version.
  4. From Savage Tales #8. Some Suydam goodness!
  5. Well, I'm friends with Paul. So when he puts something up for sale in his gallery that he knows I'll like he lets me know. As for the #7, it's all yours. I don't collect the regular covers, and the RRP and foil covers I do collect are all raw copies. I don't need a plastic case and label to tell me a seven year old comic is mint. Would love to find a #1, 2, and 3 RRP cover though. They just don't come around that often. There is that 9.8 #7 RRP for sale on Comic Link. Your money might be better spent on that one instead.
  6. Red Sonja published back cover interior in Savage Sword #194 Feb 1992 by Paul Abrams
  7. I started at $25.00, and it was summarily blown out of the water in minutes.
  8. Well, at this point it's a shoot. We'll see where it all ends up in about three weeks.
  9. Paranoid much? I do believe it was you asking about Red Sonja sketch commissions a few pages back. There were no ulterior motives to my post. I did think it strange that they would have it done on an Avengers cover. Still, it's pretty nice. Too bad it only got a 9.6 though. So, it's obvious you're ready for the big showdown. Any predictions? I have a feeling some of the hard to find covers will go for quite a bit, while the more common ones will just sit there. That #13 kills me it's not a 9.8. Nice copy though.
  10. Did you see this? http://www.ebay.com/itm/CGC-SS-Harvey-Tolibao-Red-Sonja-Signed-and-Sketched-Original-Comic-Art-OA-/261149922863?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3ccdbf962f
  11. Yeah, it's been around for quite some time. You've got some catching up to do.
  12. The story is actually really good. Not as violent as I would like, but still good. If you're ever bored you can read all the issues online for free here: http://www.elfquest.com/gallery/OnlineComics3.html It's best to start at the beginning.
  13. Really? Have you been in a cave since '79? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elfquest
  14. Like I said, she doesn't talk about her Red Sonja days much. When people post a pic of her as Red Sonja she never responds. She's all about Elfquest now. BTW Gyro, Happy Boxing Day!
  15. Very cool! I'm friends with Wendy on Facebook, and she doesn't much like to talk about those days, but she did post an old video from the '78 SDCC with she and Frank Thorne doing their old routine. You can watch it here.
  16. Got my Glow in the Dark #4 yesterday. Very minty copy. Merry X-mas!
  17. The RRP #7 is much nicer, and you can find practically mint raw copies of those anytime. There's one on eBay now for $56.00, but I've seen them much cheaper. Just keep an eye out for one. They come around quite often for around $25.00. Foil lettering, and sketch background. The regular ones are a dime a dozen. All my RRP and foil covers came from eBay, and all are mint except one (bummer). Modern books should be since they're not that old, and the paper quality is top notch. You just have to ask the seller the right questions before buying. Make sure they know what you're looking for. I was eyeballing that Dave Stevens Sheena 3-D, but auction ended while I was out.
  18. Those price variants from My Comic Shop are consignment items. Meaning they're selling them for someone else. You can save $5.00 by going directly to their website, but still way over priced. If you're interested they have 5 Mark Jeweler copies much cheaper here: https://www.mycomicshop.com/search?TID=566201 Not high grade, but if that's what you're looking for, they got 'em. As for the first listing, I don't know. All the others are graded VF/NM. So I'm sure they can tell the difference between that and a VG copy. . I just grabbed a Dynamite Red Sonja #4E Glow In The Dark cover. Now I can die a happy man.
  19. Those inserts are meaningless to me. You know what I want. Bring on those Vol. 1 7,,8, 11, and 13 9.8's. That is my one and only single minded pursuit. Shanna too, but don't tell anyone.
  20. My #7 is a Direct Ed. so I didn't think it would have one. Checked anyway, nothing. Sorry.
  21. One is for 12/16 and the other goes up 12/23.
  22. Pretty sweet! Cool seeing those pence covers in a slab. The Mark Jeweler is awesome!
