To bad its not real Liam...... its fun to dream though.... what is real is my new MACC 129! Just got it minutes ago! THank you solarcadet AKA Tony for helping me source one! (thumbs u

  3. they are not too difficult i have seen 4 or 5 since January... they were given away with a 1994 subscription to ASM in Finalnd Great hopefully soon for me.... but not quite yet... Good looking out Tony! Recent snags..... Our favorite Novaro employee Gustavo worked on this book! Peep his credit!
  4. The foreign Ebay sites our your best bet.... each country has its own unique situations and market realities for selling comics. The good news is most foreign LCS probably carry alot of what your looking for.... and most sell online.... But an easy website that specializes in foreign books from all over the world, speaks english, takes paypal, and can be found easily........ no..... Hit me up on PM and I will see if I can direct you to somthing that may help? Nice book BTW! (thumbs u
  5. They are from a amazing original owner collection from Mexico city and I just had to have them..... for Prensa's finding stuff that isnt falling apart can be difficult so dark cover stuff that looks this nice I had to pick up.... The Strange is a Aussie Newton without the poster... Newtons are tougher to find because not many survived apparently.... I have another batch of Mexican and Dutch books in the mail... but I figured I might as well post these before I forget.... SPeaking of the Aussie books I noticed somthing quite odd when comapring the American Sandman 1 and the Aussie? When thinking of English language foreign variants one might think nothing was changed dialouge-wise? I guess maybe thats not the case in some instances. Maybe "weirdies" means somthing in Aussie slang? Maybe a weirdie is a racist wombat or somthing? An Aussie boardie might chime in and let us know?
  6. My newest batch here and not in the mail still....... Its amazing what you can acomplish with a little help from your friends! (thumbs u Thanks Tim, Ronnie, Trent, Hector, and Tony!!!!!!! This is an upgrade strucuraly to my other FHSW#1 but it has some staining on the spine which bothers me….
  7. All great books! And I agree that Hulk/Star Wars is just so freakin wacky it amazing. LIke dogs that are soooo damn ugly they are cute... that book makes no sense and demands our love because of it!
  8. Yes I love this one.... I just picked up one recently from Tim!
  9. Props brotha.. I wanna see this sets issues all together when you get a chance Hector!
  10. It doesnt have to have the medal...... thats possible right?
  11. Nope, these are my first and probably my last foreign books. You may think that now but I said pretty much the same thing about three years ago. Once the foreign bug bites you you'll find yourself looking for more and more. (thumbs u I'm happy to see more and more people taking an interest in foreign editions. It's interesting how much traffic from newly interested parties we've seen in the thread in the recent months. Tims right this foreign thing is addicting... I challenge anyone that gets a key based focused set of at least 6 books to keep from trying to create more sets.... at some point in time I want to create a thread that showcases sets 5 books deep or 10 books deep or crazy town 20 books deep! it would be fun.... @ motuxmen: hey man are you the guy from flicker? You clearly have a love of foreigns.... PM me and I will help you find that book your hankering over.... (thumbs u
  12. Asm 50 second edition (or first reprint) from Italy… And this answers Matt question as well. Asm 50 (first italian edition) came with a Soccer-related medal. Super-tough to find (and insanely expensive) with the medal still attached. I have no copies, this is a found scan. Thats a bad-a-s-s book! It would go wonderfuly with my set of foriegn ASM 50's Now to find one......
  13. Nope, these are my first and probably my last foreign books. last? why last if you dont mind me asking?
  14. For me the art was always the first thing I obsessed about... I used to practice drawing by repro-ing all my favorite covers like many kids at the time im sure...... so cover art has always been important to me. I think this attitude carried over into my foreign variant collecting as well. So there is a 181 Hulk Italian edition? Thats cool.... tell me Claudio is there anything not modern in Italian that used the classic hulk 181 cover art?
  15. Nice sir! Looks like you got it covered.... do you collect a lot of dif foreign WD? Country wise?
  16. Now thats cool! Tell me this though marmat..... was the giant one first or did 50 show up earlier in the luomo ragno run?
  17. Dude... thats the nicest copy of this book I have ever seen man..... Killer man!
  18. Hey guys one of our own has some cool news on the foreign variant front! Our buddy Solorcadet is having his Superman #233 set showcased at the site collectingsuperman.com Check out Tony’s write up here….. http://collectingsuperman.com/?p=1906 I met Tony awhile back when someone told me that some crazy guy had listed his entire 227 Bats set on EBay? I was like what? Then checked out the auction and thankfully it didn’t sell. I knew anyone that had found a way to pick up the entire known 227 set at that time had to have the same screw loose as many of us…. I contacted Tony AKA Solorcadet and was immediately taken with his passion for this niche. We have since become friends, and man his sets continue to grow with amazing speed. Let me be the first to congragulate Tony in having a portion of his collection showcased at the collectingsuperman.com site! (thumbs u
  19. No..it doesn't..I have held those issues in my hands, in Japan...the 129 has another cover...I remember this from like three years ago....there was a time when I was furiously looking for ASM 300, when I came across these...it wasn't my thing. I also remember finding a Spiderman book from 1969 and another from 1970, with super random as$ covers..thick, very thick books, and big Yea its sad when they dont use the classic cover... the French one comes to mind on this as well... I agree that the cover for Punnys second app is still pretty cool though.... Yes...sometimes its cool, but sometimes it isn't, sometimes its mixed. The Brazilian ASM 300 cover is a made up cover, that upset me, but at the same time, the made up cover is incredibly awesome..like super badas$...but it just doesnt look right next to the other 300s. Also, there is no German ASM 300 cover... There is some countries that should have had it, but didnt..the Canadian one reprinted the 301, instead of the 300.. and there are other sad Non-300 stories that I would not like to get into...but I am happy to have found that Philippino one..I stil cant believe it.... Mixed is a good way to describe it Hector.... though a littel birdy just told me the other day that the classic 300 art was used on a later Brazilian issue? I havent had a chance to have him elaborate but I will get back to you...... oh I hadn't had a chance to do this either...... A tip from the one that never sleeps......

  21. We continued to cross-post for the excitement… They used the cover to Amazing #135, well… that’s not bad at all. They probably thought it included more characters, and thus made more sense. I always thought is’s more cool than the cover to #129, BTW. This thread is amazing for this exact reason.... I cant think of another thread here on the boards where new almost unknown info is dug up, shared and disseminated out to the foreign collecting hordes.... of course I am biased but still..... Thanks for the research Claudio.... you are a invaluable member of this community!
  22. too bad if they didnt use the classic cover but still.... these books are must haves!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. This was just a preliminary search. It just takes a little patience. I learned to perform searches in unknown languages as Google started to offer the translator's pairs to languages like Japanese, Arabic etc. Before that, as I was researching Astro Boy since 1995, it was a nightmare to do proper web searches. By Googling "the Punisher" and "Kobunsha" in japanese it appears the Puni issue I posted is the only one. However… http://www5c.biglobe.ne.jp/~spa-girl/65774536/ BINGO! oh snap!!!!!!!! 1)メイおばさんの結婚!? part1(ロス・アンドルー、AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #129 1974.2)
