I was surprised by the 8.0 price. I honestly thought it would go higher. I had no clue as to what the 7.0 restored would go for, $14,767 seems about right. What do you think of the nearly $3k for the Archie cover? Looks familiar Back story on this cover only. Bought it on ebay about 10 years ago with covers for 1 6 and 9 plus some coverless Archies. One of which was the coverless 6. Kind of nice. Anyway sold the 6 and 9 and then found a coverless Archie 1 but it was missing the c.f. That was for $1500. Rigamorole to get my money back but then finally do and the seller of the coverless offers to buy the cover for $1500 (which at the time was generous) and now here we are. I kept a comic inside it so the spine wouldn't crease unnaturally and lead to a split. I guess it's protected now.

Just in from CGC as a 9.6 White. Savage Sword of Conan 235 Last issue, somewhat scarce for an 90s book and tough in high grade

Mine too but that begs the follow on - why was this one a smaller print run. This book was never on my radar as tough or pricey.

Anyone know why this Conan GN is 10X the value of any other Conan GN? Seems like $100+ is going rate for no particular reason. And its Conan. Rarity, Buscema, low print run, other?

Alright, I just happened into an OAAW 82, so as the disgruntled red headed step-middle child I'm going to throw a tantrum and state that OAAW 82 is Sgt Rocks true first appearance. "Sgt Rocky" disqualifies 81 and is a clear prototype. And for every argument that 83 is the first, well 82 trumps it. You have an ornery Sgt Rock leading Easy Co. What else do you want? Its like saying TTA 35 is Antmans first appearance since he didn't have his costume in 27. C'mon. GIVE ME ATTENTION. I'M BEING IGNORED!!!!! I'll post pics later today. It happens. I've married a Batman 9 and Captain America 61 just from this thread.

I doubt it but 9.6 or 9.8 might do well over and above grading fees. 9.4 would likely pay for grading and that's it. CGC tends to grade magazines tougher than comics IMO.

Here's my #1 found in the wild.

Got these in for a song as part of a collection. First issue is a 3rd print but 2 and 3 are first prints. I was under the misimpression that all the value was in issue 1, first print, had no idea until I looked them up. Much better condition then expected as I didn't look at them that closely when I first went through the collection. They were bagged and boarded and sideways in the box which explains how they survived in an otherwise random lot of Batmans and other late Copper. Lucky.

For my money if its just the mini tatooz sticker, would it really matter where that came from and if it were married?

I'd like to ask what exactly is missing. Is the insert still there but the little mini stickers are missing or is the whole insert missing? If it's just the mini tatooz sticker is there a way to re insert the tatooz sticker into the insert without disassembly? Also, I thought that there were some cases where the insert was not attached. I vaguely recall reading that some of the inserts would fall out of the comic when being distributed and/or sold back in '83 Ed

It's not just the headlights on 50 that are easily the most prominent of the GGA covers, but that Archie is so clearly staring right at them (via a picture, which makes it a higher level gag IMO). I'm sure to be proven wrong but I have never seen a GA cover, kiddie or adult oriented, where a character is so clearly checking out the girls. That it's a common kids title like Archie with a nice cover regardless, makes it all the better. Ed
