  1. The original one has the Photobucket watermark on top of it.
  2. Here: https://www.ebay.com/help/email?initFrom=HOME Scroll through to the bottom and follow the prompts. To their credit, they have been pretty good about getting back to customers. Right now in the Philippines is around noon time so you may get a quick response. They have been pretty good since they are all working from home. Be VERY clear when you email them. Include the item numbers and all other relevant information. They helped me resolve a missing package sent through Global Shipping where the buyer seemingly cancelled the item mid shipment. I kept the money.
  3. I’m getting out of bed to find the link to their direct email for CSR right now. I had to jump through hoops to find the link on their site. Hold on.
  4. This was another thread that somehow turned into a "Cal' thread.
  5. For anyone that wants a fun read through for the past 20 years of board history... this is but the tip of the iceberg with an emphasis on modern history.
  6. More than ten years later... The war has not ended.
  7. That's because most of the threads he posted in have been wiped by the mods
  8. I could describe a Cal thread but I will never be able to do it justice. I can only be grateful that I arrived at the boards when he was still very active on here. Most of the best ones have been wiped but STILL some of the fun ones remain but are locked. Given the current state of moderation... I don't know if I can publicly link you to locked threads... privately?
  9. Progress is being made... I am horrible at using the Lego digital design programs. If I was I believe this would be easier. I find it easier though to grab out entire sections of bricks and replace them with a newly designed section if I need to, even if I am halfway though a model. If I was going digital I would have had to backtrack all of my steps to replace some parts. Last January, I bought a bunch of 10lb Lego lots from Goodwill over eBay that had a LOT of incomplete Star Wars sets. I put them in a 25gallon rubbermaid and never got around to sorting them. I had noticed though that there was a complete hovercraft shell from the Lego fire brigade series so this has been in the back of my mind for awhile. Everything so far is from the Goodwill lots. However, I will most likely be going to Bricklink to order some parts. So here is the basic skeleton. The color design was an easy pick. That dark green is harder to find in quantity and I honestly fell in love with @STORMSHADOW_80 's custom WHALE that was supposed to come out in 95? So light gray with dark gray highlights it is. The hardest part was trying to figure out the ramp and the nose. I am not 100% happy with the nose but I am 100% happy with the ramp so I am guessing that is the trade off. Certain concessions had to be made in order to get the technic pieces in there to allow for not only a working ramp but a stable and sturdy one. Section 1 - Will be where the mini bike and depth charge mechanisms are located. Section 2 - Will be the missile pods and command deck. Section 3 - Gunner Turrets - I have an 'idea' on how to make them rotate but I have to see if there is enough room. I may borrow the design idea from the Lego GHOST from Star Wars. Section 4 - The troop deployment area The other hard part was to decide on the slope of the WHALE in relation to Lego. Do I use the 1x4x3 triangular roofing slopes or the 1x4x2 triangular roofing slopes? As of now I am thinking of seeing how 1x4x2 90 degree rounded arc slopes would look. I have to see if they were ever produced in gray and then see who in the world has at least 10 of them at once. I think the hardest part will be getting those fans right in a way that I can live with. Luckily I think those are going to be black so Lego probably made some wheel wells for the larger vehicles in the size I would need and then I could attach some helicopter blades. This is my quarantine / stay at home life.
  10. BTW... if allowed to consider 3D / Pixar movies or even 3D Disney movies, I consider Moana to be this generation's Lion King. It is not as good as LK but it is close. In the Pixar realm, the Toy Story series always delivers... Wall-E is a very under-appreciated film when compared to the other Pixar movies.
  11. The Lion King 26 years later and it is still breathtaking... And yes, I know that Lion King borrows its influences from many other movies. However, if I had to pick an almost 'perfect' movie, (as James Gunn has been discussing on Twitter) this is one of them or damn near close. From Lebo M's vocals over the Hans Zimmer score, from the casting of every character, from the Rosencrantz and Guildenstern influenced Timon and Pumbaa, no minute or character is wasted and the plot is still engaging and relevant. On top of that, many people forget that unlike many Disney villains, Scar actually achieves his goal of ruling over the Pridelands. While almost the entire film is animated through the use of the computer it is still considered a typical 2D animated film. The computer allowed animators to capture the flow of the characters in ways never before seen as evidenced with the stampede scene. However, it is still considered a 2D movie. When it comes to animated flicks, this is the 2D film that deserves the accolades and delivers on the hype.
  12. It is actually kind of hard to find decent Cal threads to bump since almost all of the good ones have been locked or deleted.
  13. Hm... what to do... what to do... @STORMSHADOW_80 you have any ideas ? let’s see how much grey I have laying around...
  14. ...and there we have it. apologies to @jjonahjameson11
  15. Fair enough... not in this thread. But I have heard it said numerous times across various discussions of Ramos.
  16. Not a fan of gocollect. At this point I will just do my own research from completed eBay sales and heritage listings.
  17. I was renewing on a yearly basis since 2014 and had not turned off the subscription. Once it renewed I made sure to turn it off for next March.
  18. Agreed... the old style did not look as flashy but it allowed for everything to be readily available on screen for the sake of comparison. I am hoping that it is a matter of 'trying to get used to the new style' and that both of us are wrong... but... I'm not into it.
  19. I have a stray - who wants it for $45 + shipping? Classic cover in my opinion. I was going to save it for a signature opportunity but that does not look like it will happen. The Rules Buyer pays via PayPal I ship worldwide at buyers cost from New York via Priority shipping and I'm working from home, so I can ship daily. Nobody on the probation or hall of shame list No returns - front and back cover scan... it is what it is. Take it in the thread or through PM, I am not particular - I go by time stamp. And as always, a song. What was once old is now new again. Someone stole every 80 New Wave band's synthesizer...
