  1. Whew... My resolve was nearly broken. Great example of the post camp Okajima markings (distributor pencil markings in the first letter of the title, date stamp on the back cover (her doing) and on a book that was one of the central titles of her collection (she loved those heroine fiction hose covers!)
  2. Followup. Had a nice rational conversation with the guy and he understood what everyone was upset over, was new to the forums, accepted the constructive feedback and he modified his post to avoid confusion or any misleading statements... Wow a rational discussion. I'm not sure what to do now... Good on him for being receptive
  3. Seller just told me he doesn't differentiate between restored and restored plus trimmed when citing gpa info... Um... gpa differentiates, heck cgc differentiates, so if you arent you should probably tell potential buyers.
  4. Posting for posterity 4-30-44, 4B code Sold here on the boards
  5. Thanks for sharing R-man! The '43 books are hit and miss on a code or date, though most have the signature.
  6. I have an alibi! I was in Ricks sales thread all day, ask anyone!
  7. Rick your threads have been so entertaining I canceled my cable subscription!
  8. Saw this... It's gonna be crazy. Camp era books are harder to find in high grade, and add to it the fact that it's military themed? Yikes!
  9. Yonkers. Overstreet value for the book around $125...final hammer for the camp Oklahoma... $1150. Anyone here win it? The cool things out this book (besides the camp per), it was bought on leap year day, Feb 29th 1944.
  10. As a GA collector I always roll my eyes when a mid-grade GA is pimped as "highest graded" when it is only so because most collectors don't bother to slab their higher grade copies. Saw a Canadian edition of a book getting pimped as "highest graded" when there were 8-10 copies of the US version that were higher grade. I get that it is "technically" correct.... But feel bad if the winner bid up cause he thought he was getting something else...
  11. My buddy does tech advising for Mr Robot, it's an ongoing side gig that he's really enjoyed. Hope the same for you!
  12. Wow looks like we would have even fighting over the same books all weekend!
