  1. Grant's a great guy, I bought a Journey into Unknown Worlds # 10 from him for a very fair price, and was well pleased with the grade, and fast shipping too !
  2. I still have it on my watch list, it says 'This item has been removed by the seller.'
  3. Very interesting point Lou...although it's not what the company was I presume originally intended for, CGC has kind of manufactured an artificial value in modern age books.
  4. Wonder how much extra they'll be charging us limeys for the privilege...
  5. Shock...! https://www.cgccomics.uk/news/article/6392/ccg-london-office/
  6. 3 grades higher ? Good grief, what did you have it graded at ?
  7. Yeah, it looks better, I took a chance, I expect it to come back 1.5 or maybe 2.0 mod/ ext resto. I missed a chance a few years ago to pick up Carbo's 4.5 Mod or ext I think it was for $10k and regretted it ever since. Not sure whether to give it Matt for improvement until I see it...hopefully he'll be at the next show I'm at to get his opinion... he has my Cap # 1 as it is.
  8. I would say around $40 - $50k in today's market considering recent sales.
  9. ? I think those deals were all over the place back then !
  10. I had that once, paid for something, didn't receive it,,opened a case, and was immediately refunded, so,assume the guy died. People were leaving negs, but all said they'd been refunded by ebay.
  11. I seem to offend a lot of people these days, can't think why or how though...
  12. Five pounds more, that's even more then five dollars more...just.
  13. It's not the same person (well, not the same ID anyway)...
  14. And just when you didn't think it could get any worse....
  15. I I'm planning on selling off my/our horror collection soon, it's incredible how much these books have gone up in the last five or so years - great book mate !
  16. Incredible the stuff you've found. I was buying for DC completist Ian Levine back in the day, and I've never even heard of some of these Annuals.
  17. The Ultimate ! Just when you think you've seen it all...
  18. I used to buy a lot for Ian. Shame to hear what's happened, and that he got out of comics.
  19. Theoretically, they shouldn't, but in practice, I gave up even listing stamped copies on my site years ago, purely from a desirability viewpoint. I sell them on ebay and expect to get at least 25% less than unstamped cents copies - apart from the pence stamped Detective # 359 I recently sold in CGC 4,.5 for £400 that is.
