  1. Now if these were stories were only worth reading, that would help… I just browsed here and there this Kitty Pride / Starlord thing and it makes no sense as most things they are doing.
  2. Who would not like such a wonderful copy, at least among us FF fans?
  3. You’re right, but on a visual level the white one is also pretty powerful… In fact they’re both very nice and I will make an exception and keep the two of them. @Diamonddave: You just gave me a heart attack!
  4. After reading God of Thunder #25 and the first issue of Lady Thor I have to say it appears like Jason Aaron does not really know the characters (Thor and Jane Foster) so I could not care less…
  5. Yes, I think I’ll keep both – although I don’t really like what they did under the Millar and Hickman tenure (which I have yet to read in full, anyway), and all this "death" of the characters wildly_fanciful_statement, Alan Davis is always magic: he managed to capture a trily grieving atmosphere in an unique way: that image of Reed holding Sue is so powerful, and Ben on the side… the white makes it stand out more in some way. But I don’t want to fall in the trap of collecting cover variants… I have already kept the Deadpool one from that other issue… BTW, for the "death" issue, I was too lazy to look for a polybagged 1st print, so I opted for this one… I think the black and white gives a more peculiar atmosphere. And I love how the Thing looks early Kirbysh (less "scaled")…
  6. Thanks – I quite like the white one but you’re right: the original is better.
  7. Thanks for the explanation about the mini-series, and loved this analysis. Oh well, I grabbed a #1 third printing (which I like because of the light blue instead of red) and hopefully a #2 and #3 coming my way too.
  8. A very well centered beauty. Definitely one of the best centered I have seen. Love how the limited space above the lettering and the logo allows for more room below.
  9. My upgraded #48… unfortunately a bit of miswrap but more than nice for me…
  10. Oh well, that’s not the reason which kept me from deslabbing it – I just hoped to find a nice one without the tape pull… but again I don’t have the money so it’s all good… Filling my modern run holes… Quiz: which one would you keep assumed you have to choose. I like both of these covers.
  11. A question: I am trying to pick up a set of Divinity to read it (I know #4 has to come out yet) but, aside from variants, if there's so much heat around #1 how do you think this will unfold with the other issues? I mean, considered it is a mini-series: having #1 alone does not make much sense and even if they adjusted the print run I can’t think it would be much different from the one of the first issue…
  12. John just bought a number of Marvel books and italian editions from me: paid immediately and good communication – many thanks! (thumbs u
  13. No big deal, Harvey! (thumbs u – If people do not update it doesn’t make much sense to keep the list anyway. Mine will be soon sacrificed on the way of a FF#1…
  14. Here it is (if Harvey wants to update the list and remove the original raw entry):
  15. BTW, I just HATE when people remove themselves from PM discussions… I always tell something before doing that, like «in the process of cleaning up my mailbox" or something similar, to sweeten that ugly message "XXXX has removed himself from this topic"…
  16. I would not put him on a list, but simply I’d be very curious to hear what he has to say just in case he tries to buy something from me on a following occasion. (thumbs u
  17. I think it just depends on how these Star Wars new series' will be received by the public (movies aside, I still believe the public is not so related). If the new Star Wars comics are appreciated, this issue might prove sought after, but again I am not a Star Wars fan and just picked it out of curiosity…
  18. Yes, it looks really fresh in the slab… cover paper is pretty white and there are no visible big creases on the cover, and the top corner is also pretty sharp. Only thing is the tape pull and minor staining at the bottom which probably brought this pretty much down but I love it and I think in the end I will deslab it regardless… I have never browsed through one before!
  19. So if something is drawn for kids (and I don’t think they were necessarily done for kids alone, anyway) it is allowed not to make sense? I do not get it…
  20. Probably for the same reason for which I sold all my original valiant books (mostly in NM) for about $0.50-1.00 each about a year ago?
  21. Yeah.....I'm still without the circle 10 #1 and #2. I'm hoping to get my hands on a #1 (3.5-5.0) in the next couple of years, IF it's still somewhat within reach at that point. Great! I’m trying to accelerate the process and get one this year, but I guess I would settle with a graded 2.0-2.5 or raw 2.5-3.0, depending on price. My #2… I just love the book! I already showed it, I have not resolved to deslab it yet, as I would have loved to find an equally nice copy without the tape pull defect… but again, these are pricey…
