  1. I posted in your other thread about this but this is just what CCS does to books. Eventually it will come to a head given just how bad things are getting but we are not there yet, best advice is to never send your books to CCS for pressing.
  2. An easy way to check if they have been pressed by CCS is to compare the books condition now to what they where when you sent them off (cause you were responsible and took pictures). If they look worse now and have obvious defects then you can trust they were absolutely pressed to the best ability of CCS!
  3. Not the resurrected corpse of Stan Lee but his undead twitter account is still going strong shilling and hawking items to scar all comic fans.
  4. #1 is under Alita: Battle Angel 1992 Viz Comics For some reason CGC has the first issue under the different title, it could be how the issue was titled on the original indicia prior to the second issue. I don't have copies of these so can't confirm.
  5. I wanted to like this movie so much but while not a complete disappointment it was absolutely underwhelming. So much of the first and second act just feel like it is meandering through a set of scenes and not progressing a story that will culminate in the last 30 minutes (I wasn't fan of the "twist"). The acting is great though and this genre of film is Rian Johnson's strong point.
  6. The only thing you can do is hope someone at CGC does their job and logs finding some books that were not properly entered into their system and them matches them to your submission that is missing. They will not do anything else because you don't have the power to force them to and they can get away with ignoring you when they choose. You will receive no compensation for missing books unless you are someone important or the books are valuable enough to cause a PR issue. good luck.
  7. This mentality is often caused by trauma from being forced to "grow up" (for the older generation) from parentification or just undue forced responsibility during childhood. From younger people, it usually signals they haven't come to terms with who they are as a young adult and will publicly chastise "childishness" as a show of false maturity but in private embrace it. In both cases in their mind they had to put away "childish" things and become an adult so if someone else hasn't they should be shamed until they do, because that is what it "means" to be an adult. Some people are just angry at the world and use any excuse to lash out at others, family members and friends are likely to put up with it the most so they usually get away with it. Years back during a family XMas the MIL started making snide comments about our daughter being to old for dolls (a super expensive Supergirl Barbie) to which I came down hard on and reminded MIL that her house is literally a shrine to "Precious Moments" toys and that at her advanced age it was completely embarrassing. I was more lippy and targeted with my words but I regret nothing... lol.
  8. I'm not a fan of how the Pedigree label looks so I was trying to ask CGC if I could just pay for a custom label with the Pedigree noted (they said no), then I asked if I resubmit for a new holder if they could re-serialize the numbers so they would be XXX001-XXX011 (they said no again). So I am not sure which direction I will I go, lol.
  9. I have a couple goals some realistic some not. Pick up at least 35 books for my X-Men V2 Registry Set Decide which label I want for an 11 issue run for a new registry set (custom label or Pedigree label) A 9.8 SS X-Men #130 Pick up new slab size storage boxes Track down an original Shooter/Infantino page from Adventure Comics #346 Even if I find the page it might be out of my price range.... but maybe not.
  10. What you did wrong was that you interacted with the "customer" on ebay. When contacted the only response should be to wait 24 hours and send the following: Make sure your auction return policy is "no returns" which means they have three days to open a case and return any item to you. Arguing will not do anything except make you look dumb and petty, which it did.. it will also have the adverse reaction should the buyer open a case and claim you harassed him through Ebay messages. Which will make Ebay even more inclined to side with the buyer.
  11. Contact customer service with pictures of the books and packaging! These are not going to fall under "minor" damage for a reholder (the posts are broken on some) and will need a complete regrade which is going to affect the Harley book and Joker books that received the most damage. CGC is going to try and convince you that everything is fine and they will take care of you, do not believe them cause they will not, their #1 goal will be to get the books back so you stop sharing pictures. Ask for more than just regrade/reholder (these books are going to take a grade hit), most defenders are going to say "accidents happen" which they do, but CGC has been responsible for more and more "accidents" as can be seen on the forums.
  12. a 9.8 slab & an awesome lot of Grendal books as the last two picks...This was a really great year!
  13. I'll select a mystery box................ #39.

  15. Always take complete high quality photo's of the books prior to sending them; it will at least give you something to stand on. Generally though it is either a loss or the person that is made an offer is tight lipped about the details. You can read some of the after tales in the where is QC thread, the last major incident the poster straight up said they were not allowed to disclose the outcome.
  16. alright... I'm going to be asking for the farm here, so let me down easy. I have completed a nice 12 issue run of X-men 1980 all from the Savannah pedigree. These books have mostly been graded separately over the last decade (most in 2010). Some do not have the designation on the label but I have the original Savannah certificates for all. My Questions: If I submit all of these books together can I get sequential serial numbers without having to get them regraded? Is it possible to select both the pedigree designation AND the custom label for reholder? The current pedigree label is poorly designed and ugly (CGC should be ashamed). Currently you can only select one or the other as it will gray out any second option when selected:
  17. I don't understand cheaping out on shipping; a medium flat rate priority box is $15 and you can double box with a 1092 & 1095 then customize the internal packaging and pay for none of it! You can literally order as many free boxes, mailers, and tubes until they ask you to knock it off, then do it again after 30 days. The money "saved" versus the risk of media mail is never worth it, no matter how many times you have gotten away with it previously.
  18. My item (#16) will ship world wide for free, or where ever UPS/USPS currently offers shipping to (as that is where my main shipping accounts are). If you live somewhere weird or restricted I will work with you to the best of my ability.
  19. Budd Root! I would love to see CGC promote his cave girl remarks Sam Kieth, Ben Dunn, Clint Hilinski would be interesting signers While definitely not popular I would love to see some of the unheralded people from the 90's who never do conventions like Janet Jackson, Su McTeigue, or Deborah Percell. From the "celebrity" wing involved with comics I am very surprised we haven't seen a Star Trek, Critical Role, or 80's pop culture comic adapted from TV signing.
  20. It has to be insecurity instead of hubris, he had a good line 10 people deep which would have made a great picture. Edit to add: I fully understand the art theft though; Land has gotten away with it for years without real repercussions outside of angry internet posts, so why can't Suydam. For real though, I know a couple artists who will use an-others reference work and they always shoot an email first and just ask "hey can I copy your homework"? when they say yes it's an homage when they say no, the artist will just ask someone else.
