  2. Good morning, Thanks for your message. If the signing is not witnessed by an authorized CGC witness and directly submitted for grading, then the signature cannot be authenticated for Signature Series. Testimonials, photographs, video recordings, certificates of authenticity and any other proof of signing are not accepted. Any items that have already been signed would not qualify for Signature Series label. In most cases they would receive a green Qualified label. This allows the graders to ignore the signature for grading purposes and the book is not downgraded for the writing. Generally, at or below a 6.0 the writing/signature on the cover no longer has a significant impact on the grade and our graders may feel it is not necessary to qualify the grade. They will factor the signature into grade and the book would receive a Universal (blue) label with the same notation of name on cover in marker. Please do not send in COAs but retain them for your records as they are not needed for grading and may not be returned to you.   3. Good morning, Thanks for your message. I ran this by our graders and they advised that It is very rare that we will put "1st comic book appearance of", for any real-life celebrity or group. Basically, for people like celebrities that are in the "public domain", ANY publisher, no matter how big or small or what size the print run, can include them, so in many cases it can be impossible to tell which is the earliest. As soon as you think, "This book is from -this- date, so it's pretty likely that it's the earliest this celebrity was seen/mentioned in a comic", a different, earlier comic from a smaller lesser-known publisher will be presented. So short of some circumstance such as it being referenced in several sources (especially Overstreet) we defer to simply "appearance" rather than "1st comic book appearance of..." I hope that helps!   4. Good morning, Thanks for your message. Registered mail does tend to take longer than most of the other shipping methods. We generally give it about a week to ten days depending on where you live. Unfortunately, we don't have control over how frequently USPS updates the tracking information on their website. Often they may not list every stop that the package makes on its way to the final destination. If, after 15 days, the package still hasn't arrived you can let us know and we can start a trace with the USPS. They will not start any sort of investigation prior to 15 days from the shipping date, unfortunately. In the majority of cases, even with slower tracking updates, packages arrive at their destination without any issues. If you still have not received the package by next week, please let us know and we can start that trace process with the USPS. Thank you!
  5. If your orders were received in our office before your membership expired then you will be allowed to utilize your remaining credit on those orders. If you have an order that is received after the membership has expired then any remaining credit would not be able to be applied to those submissions. Thanks!
  6. Hi, you do receive an additional $150 credit when you upgrade from Premium to Elite. That credit is added to your internal account with us and will automatically be applied when you send your order in. We will deduct off the credit first and then charge you for whatever the remaining balance would be. Thanks!
  7. Good morning, The grade assigned to the book should not change, unless any damage occurred post-encapsulation, in which case the grade will be adjusted accordingly. To qualify, the book must still be encapsulated in its original CGC holder. Thank you!
  8. Good morning, Thanks for your message. Invoices stay on the main Submission Tracking page for 8 months. After that, you can locate the specific invoice information by entering the submission number in the search bar on the submission tracking page. Unfortunately, we are currently experiencing some issues with the submission tracking. Some invoices are not displaying properly, even when the information is entered in the search bar. We are working on that problem now and hope to have that fixed ASAP. In the meantime, if you have any questions or need to check the status of an order, our customer service department can provide that to you any time. Thank you!
  9. Good morning, Your membership credit does expire when your membership does and any unused credit does not carry over to the next year. If you renew at the Premium or Elite levels, however, you do receive a new $150 credit for the new membership year. Thank you!
  10. Good morning, Thanks for your message. We can't advise FedEx to hold a package for you but you can always put a FedEx pick up location as your return address. We would then ship the package to that FedEx pick up address and you could then pick it up whenever it was convenient for you. Please note, we cannot make any changes to the address or method of delivery once the package has been shipped out. If you have any orders still in the office, you can update the address on any of those by emailing us the submission numbers and the new address and we can update them before they ship out. We do expedite mechanical errors to be corrected as quickly as possible but I can't say for certain that you will be able to get it back in time for Christmas.   12. Good morning, Thanks for your message. When you select both pressing and grading, there are separate turnaround times for each service. That is not combined.   14. Good morning, Thanks for your email. We do not currently notate extra staples on the label nor do they have an effect on the final grade in any range. However, in many cases, books with extra staples do tend to grade lower due to the overhang the extra staples can sometimes cause. Thank you!

Online submission forms completed before April 28, 2021 had to be delivered to our office by May 28th to qualify for the old pricing. So, it would depend on when your order was actually delivered that would determine the pricing in this case.   20. Good morning, You can certainly provide your submission number and I can check to see if it is behind for that tier. If it is behind where it should be we can locate it and rush it through. However, since you have already spoken with customer service they may already be doing that in your case. Please note that it can take quite some time to locate one order. We only have a limited staff that we can pull from their regular work to look for an order and they may have to go through potentially thousands of submissions to locate it. Pedigree Comic Book Collections | CGC (cgccomics.com) You can send the book in for grading and on the submission form notate it is part of that collection. You can include any supporting documentation you may have along with your submission. We recommend sending in copies of your COA and not the originals just in case the documentation becomes separated from your book during the grading process. You can email our customer service department with these images and they will send you instructions and a return shipping label to send the book back and we can reholder that for you at no charge.   24. Good morning, Thanks for your message. Unfortunately, I don't have any information on upcoming labels so I can't advise you on that part of your question. Regarding your other issues, it could be that the system is not recognizing the book information. When you entered that book, did you use the drop down menu or did you type the information in? When entering items into the form you will want to check the title listed in the indicia and select that from the drop-down menu. When the correct title is selected the form will autofill the remaining fields and you make your selections from the drop menus to select the specific comic/magazine from our database. Keep in mind this functions similar to a library catalog; do not use articles such as "A, an , the" in the title. If this still does not work for you, you can always hand write the label request on your packing slip. Just be sure to put the label number next to the specific book. Thank you!

Since then, we have continued to utilize this option and have not been attending as many shows as we have in the past. Currently, the only CGC shows we have set to attend through the end of this year are for trading cards.
