Good morning, Thanks for your message. Unfortunately, CGC will not be attending that show. You can find a listing of any upcoming events on our website here: Events | CGC (cgccomics.com) However, there will most likely be a CGC authorized facilitator that can provide witnesses for you and submit the books to us on your behalf. You can find a listing of facilitators here: https://www.cgccomics.com/signature-series/facilitators/ You can also check our Signature Room chat board to find out which facilitators might be attending the show. You can access that here: The Signature Room - CGC Comic Book Collectors Chat Boards (cgccomics.com) Thank you!
  2. Good morning, Thanks for your message. There is no set amount of time that an invoice will remain in one status. That time will vary depending on the tier and how many invoices are ahead of yours. The important thing to look at is the total turnaround time. If the order is still within the normal time frame for the tier then there is no issue. You can certainly contact our customer service department with your submission number and they can check the status for you. You can reach them at 877-662-6642 or by email at submissions@cgccomics.com. Thank you!
  3. Good morning, Thanks for your message. CGC is part of our Certified Collectibles Group which does cover different types of collectibles. We currently grade coins through NGC, paper money through PMG, Trading cards and comics through CGC and sports cards through CSG. We don't grade video games yet but that is in the works and will probably start early next year. We do not currently grade action figures or toys but certainly that may be added to our list of collectibles somewhere down the line. If you are a member of our Collector's Society this allows you to submit to any of our companies under that one membership fee. If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thank you!
  4. Good morning, Thanks for your message. Do you mean that you can't see the invoice on your submission tracking page? It is still with CCS so you should see the invoice but it will just say CCS on there at this stage. It looks like you requested screening which does add about 30 extra business days to the regular pressing turnaround time for that tier. You'll receive an email once this invoice moves to CGC and then you will be able to see the status change as it moves through the grading process. Thank you!
  5. Good morning, Thanks for your message. There are some books still finishing up with Art Adams. We hope to have those completed within the next couple of weeks. Thanks for your patience on these! Thank you!
  6. Good morning, Thanks for your message. We are sorry to hear about that. Please send this information as well as the images to our customer service department and we can review and provide instructions on how to proceed. You can email those to us at submissions@cgccomics.com. Thank you!

  8. Good morning, Thanks for your message. Unfortunately, no, there is no way to change the label without completely reholdering the book. We would have to replace the holder and you would lose that sticker. You would have to resubmit that for the CVA designation. Thank you!
  9. Good morning, You can contact our customer service department at 877-662-6642 or by email at submissions@cgccomics.com. Just provide the submission or order number and we can check the status for you. Thanks!
  10. Good morning, I'm sorry to hear that. Please email our customer service department at submissions@cgccomics.com with the certification numbers and a few images of the issues and we can review and advise you on how to proceed. Thank you!
  11. Hi Paul, Thanks for your message. Yes, you can certainly ship your items to us signature required, that is no problem. Thanks!
  12. Good morning, Thanks for your message. There are separate turnaround times for both pressing and grading. You can find the pressing times here: CGC Services & Fees | CGC (cgccomics.com) and the grading times here: CGC Services & Fees | CGC (cgccomics.com) Thank you!
  13. Good morning, Thanks for your message. In many cases, yes, a qualified book could potentially be regraded and receive a universal label but with a lower grade. The only defect that could not potentially receive a universal label would be if a book had married pages or a married cover. Married parts will always receive a qualified label. Please note, however, the final decision on if a book should be qualified or not, is always up to the graders. Thank you!
  14. Good morning, Thanks for your message. The turnaround times for the private signings are approximately 6-8 weeks from the date of the signing. The John Romita signing just finished up on 10-26 and the Lupita Nyong has not occurred yet. The books will not begin pressing until after they are signed. The status will remain as "at CCS" until after is moves to CGC to start the grading process. Thank you!
  15. Good morning, Thanks for your message. There is no guarantee that pressing will be able to completely remove all defects. It will depend on how severe they are to begin with. Sometimes pressing can only minimize the defect but not remove it entirely. You can certainly send over a few images of the book to our customer service department and we can check with our CCS team to see if they feel that further pressing could help the book if they believe that is the best they can get it. You can send those over to us at submissions@cgccomics.com and we will take a look. Thank you!
  16. Good morning, Thanks for your message. There is no set amount of time that an invoice will remain in one status. It is the total turnaround time that we look at and if the invoice is still within the normal time frame for its tier. 17. Good morning, We did do a recent update which has been creating an issue when accessing the chat boards. You will need to log out of all sites completely, clear your cache and delete cookies and then log in again. This should resolve the issue. If you do still experience a problem, please let us know. Thank you1
  18. Hello, We have never encountered such an issue so it seems unlikely but I could not say for certain if something like that was possible. The holders are not air tight so a certain amount of air does still get inside. We do advise that customers maintain a consistent temperature around 70-73 degrees with about a 50% humidity to maintain optimum conditions for their holdered books. Thank you!
  19. Good afternoon, Thanks for your message. We don't have an exact date on when that signing will be completed but it should be happening in the next couple of weeks. Thanks!
  20. Good afternoon, Thanks for your message. You will print out your packing slip once you complete the online order form. You are not charged for anything until we receive your order here in the office so even though you can enter payment information when completing the form, it will not charge you at that time. You can find our shipping rates here: Shipping Your Collectibles To / From CGC | CGC (cgccomics.com) USPS Registered Mail is based on the declared value you list for the books. Thanks!
  21. Hello, Thanks for your message. When you are completing the online form for this book, you will select Private Signing and then use the drop down menu to locate this specific signing: The private signing orders are done a little differently than a regular submission. If you still run into an issue, please let us know. Thank you!
  22. Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. Currently, CGC is testing out a new production process, the end goal of which is to speed up our overall service times for all departments. During this testing phase, you may see some individual invoices being processed at a much faster rate than other invoices or the normal turnaround time for that tier. We are hopeful that if this new process is successful after the testing phase, we can implement this on all submissions and tiers to dramatically improve all turnaround times. Thank you!
  23. Good morning, Thanks for your email. I checked with our graders on this and they advised that when entering it on the online form you can just list the store name edition and we will figure out the rest. It will vary depending on how many variants a store had. Some can have up to 4 or 5 and in those cases we or the store might letter them also. We can figure all that out here on our end. Thanks!
  24. Good morning, Thanks for your message. The $150 grading will automatically be applied to your grading fees. As of right now, we are not attending any shows so any submissions would have to be sent to us directly or made through a facilitator at a show. But the credit would be applied when your order is received here in our office. Thank you!
  25. Good morning, It is difficult to tell from a picture what damage you are referring to. I see a line but it is difficult to tell what that is. If you were not the original submitter you would need to go back to the seller on that. Any damage to the book or holder must be reported to CGC within 2 weeks of receiving the book back from us so chances are that if there is damage it occurred after the book was received back from CGC. Thank you,
