  1. And you have the Treasury sized issue too, and the Digest?
  2. I can't find the Secrets of Haunted House Special around here...should have it in 9.4 courtesy of bobcat Anyone have a pic?
  3. Let's not forget about the Unexpected Special Issue as well
  4. I have that in CGC 9.2.... Sounds good, PM me with the total w/shipping and I'll PP you asap!! Sorry, not selling that one (yet).
  5. actually, I remembered it a while back, but forgot about it. Oh, today I got a stack of about 20 Ghosts today that are DEFINITELY 9.4 or better-these will replace some of my VF copies. The gloss on the book is like new--and ALL have white pages. How did I luck out? (hint: get your books where it's cold). Oh, and some of my bronze horror grades that came back: Ghosts #1 CGC 9.4 White Pages Witching Hour #1 CGC 9.0 White Pages Witching Hour #1 CGC 9.2 OffWhite-White Pages Also, I got an Unexpected #109 CGC 9.4, HOM 215 9.6+, and HOS 110 9.6+ in today--and they look great! Thanks Metropolis!
  6. That was one of the first HOM I picked up as a kid!
  7. Thanks dude! I'll try to coordinate our sniping activities to save money... My guess is that the kiddies collecting bronze are back revisiting their childhood--precode folks in their elder years selling collections that have no connection with current generation
  8. Hi greggy I was drooling over those 'Young Love' issues..super awesome. Nice book there Yes, bobcat is my favorite seller. He applies CGC grading to his raw books. He even called me one time just to chat in general, and his story in regards to how he built his collection over the years is very entertaining. Overall a very nice guy, with EXTREME customer service and friendliness. I would be in if all sellers were like this...
  9. Well, bobcat.enterprises had some pretty good late bronze horror tonight. Well, tough crowd on eBay tonight.weweir is a relatively new ID that seems to be the 'new' redf1shing' in terms of buying horror stuff. greggy 'almost' pulled away with probably the most important book for me Unexpected 164. I also got away with another Ghosts 61 and 73 which should be upgrades to my existing copies. Is it me or is this stuff in the right grade going up and up? Each book ended around $25-$30--even the Witching Hours, which are usually $10-$15 books.
  10. Here's my horror wins of the week: House of Mystery 289 CGC 9.8 White Pages House of Mystery 297 CGC 9.8 White Pages House of Mystery 298 CGC 9.8 White Pages House of Mystery 301 CGC 9.8 White Pages Unexpected 220 CGC 9.8 White Pages Secrets of Haunted House 34 CGC 9.8 White Pages Secrets of Haunted House 37 CGC 9.8 White Pages
  11. Did you pick up anything at the ComicCon this past weekend? How many vendors were there? Who?
  12. Voting out of love for it all: covers, artists, stories, etc. Personally, HOM was the best overall (as indicated by its long run) mystery book for me, and as indicated in the polls. HOS was more like a roller coaster, while stories in Ghosts were somewhat reptitive. In addition to LD / Cardy covers, I also liked Cruz art, which was popular during the Bronze.
  13. Hello Richard, Welcome to another spine tingling thread I call, "Infinite Bronze Horror Thread". I have several hosts with me, which are your favorite? Here's a trivia question (and actually I forgot the answer but I have to look it up): What was the name of the host of the Ghosts series later in the run? He wore a hat and his glasses were a touch of class.
  14. OK, you asked for it. Anything to do with bronze horror, let's talk about it here. This is my favorite genre and my favorite age as well. So, to start things off with a poll: I know I left out other Publishers, but I figured the majority of us here are in either the DC or Marvel camps. CHOOSE 4 OF YOUR FAVORITE BRONZE HORROR TITLES BELOW!
  15. And I see your point as well, but if the information isn't valid... it's going to be a futile effort. This scenario assumes detection of the process can be conclusive and the industry as a whole to recognize the process of pressing formally. Right now, it's a dirty little secret...
  16. I hear ya man, but I don't think its gonna happen, since a given comic's heritage has already been lost (except for maybe a pedigree that could be tracked from owner to owner). Even if a seller says 'NO PRESSING', he doesn't know what the previous 10 owners have done to it. CGC not recognizing it, and the trouble with even detecting it. Good luck there. I'd rather wish for world peace--it's more likely to happen
  17. Actually I thought his name was renamed to LTL--Lightly Toasted Lad after he got his comic-keys refund? Copyright infringement! Lawsuit pending....
  18. Yeah, well if I buy a set of VF/NM Bronze books for $2 a copy, then I'm not too worried about a few of them being "pressed". It's the "high dollar CGC crowd" that's gonna take the bullet. I agree. I like my books CGC'd though, now I'm having second thoughts....
  19. "Patience is a virtue" rings true as well.
  20. Like I said, I've taken myself out of the CGC market for at least the foreseeable future. If people are manufacturing CGC 9.4-9.8 copies on their book presses, I can't see me paying less now, than I will a year or two in the future. By that time, there will be multiple copies for everyone. That's actually a good strategy, and one I'm becoming very familiar with...
