  1. Tonight's espisode was great! I loved some of the elaboration they gave to some of the characters, as well as some nice twists to the original plot.
  2. The lack of zombies in the hospital was more than made up when Rick sees all of the dead all lined up on the ground on the outside...a little slow start so far.
  3. So much for me trying to get an upgrade for this...ludicrous imo...whomever is bidding this up, can you PM me and buy my stuff at these prices please? Now at $600 with almost two weeks left. Must be 100 pager madness...a bunch of reprints! I guess bronze horror madness is back in town!
  4. Cool stuff...never seen those before. Far out, man!
  5. That's the risk/reward of looking for raw books at cons...wish I had the time and patience for it!
  6. They only make it disturbing in the beginning when he realizes where he is...the rest...is....AWESOME. For me, this is a horror movie that could just as well have REALLY happened. No Hollywood fluff here.
  7. It's an Indie movie...I didn't even know about it until my son asked if I wanted to go. Believe it or not, the camera angles in the start definitely wants you to be claustrophopic...but is fine in the rest of the movie. I will say this...he does have a cell phone. There's a lot of agendas in this movie but they don't knock you on the head with them (well, except for one maybe). They literally pull this off...the entire set is in a box. No flashbacks...nothing outside of the box. This reminds me of Blair Witch in terms of uniqueness...very cool stuff! VERY GOOD MOVIE...go see it NOW!
  8. If you haven't yet...go see Buried! There's a ton I like about this movie....very Poe/Hitchcock inspired...and yes...the entire movie...is inside a coffin.
  9. I have hope for Forbidden Tales of Dark Mansion...surprised that they haven't thought about Weird War Tales or Unexpected yet. I doubt Ghosts will cut the mustard although I would love for that title to eventually get its due.
  10. 2010 has been a rough year for me...selling 50% of my CGC books (mostly non-horror, but all of my Marvel horror and even a few DC sets fell victim) has truly sucked...but at the same time very liberating...2011 continues this trend as I concentrate on the basics again...the tried and true "core" DC horror titles that I loved growing up! So, an upgrade here...an upgrade there...I hope to really make my sets shine. I really would like to see HOM 175 and 205 fill a void in my set...also would love to see a WORTHY 9.8 174 pop up (as you may know I've been less than enthusiastic for CGC's opinion of 9.8 lately). Anyway, I noticed that Showcase Presents has given us the entire SOSH collection! BTW, I never really noticed this shadow that much since the original's colors were much darker. Those eyes remind me of those spook eyes from the original "Scooby Doo, Where Are You?" series. I also see Witching Hour is coming next year! Awesome!
  11. Dracula Has Risen From the Grave - Christopher Lee That's been bugging me for a while and I finally remembered the name of the movie.
  12. Way to go Wes. Sometimes you DO get lucky on eBay. I'm surprised someone shipped a comic to you correctly for $5. Nice!
  13. Hey guys...I'm not dead and reanimated yet Terrific OA...one of my favorite WWT and Dominguez cover!
  14. Just a quick reminder that my junk is ending this week on ComicLink. Considering how cheap they are going for it's nice to know I'll be able to buy it back cheaper if I need to ;-)
  15. Nice snags! Glad you could pick up a few regardless!
  16. Oh my. No posts since 6/28? Heads up! Round 2 of my comiclink sell off IN PROGRESS now...go get drunk and bid to no abandon. Also, Im selling some bronze horror here on the boards...mostly my Marvel junk and other non-DC horror and other genres. Im actually considering selling off SOME my 9.4 DC horror next in anticipation of higher grades showing up in the census eventually.
  17. Thanks I was actually on vacation last week, so I think I logged in one time because work called me; otherwise I was relatively technology-free...feels nice! Sad that I don't frequent this board enough anymore for anyone to recognize my birthday...or maybe it's a sign that I'm starting to get a life!
  18. Congrats on your wins, folks. I set expectations low, and the results have met expectations. On several books I actually got MORE than what I paid, but overall across the board it was a bloodbath for me but great deals for the buyer. If July's results are comparable, I'll be happy. I'll NOT be pursuing the auction route for more books until interest picks up, or will pursue the listing format.
  19. There are many bronze Charlton, Gold Key, Marvel and DC horror/war titles being auctioned at ComicLink...here's your chance to own some of the best and highest graded bronze horror books. Bids close this week and many come from #1 sets that have taken years to aquire. In some instances like the Marvel bronze horror I am selling MY ENTIRE SET and is currently seated as the #1 set on Collectors Society. NOW IS YOUR CHANCE! Titles include Boris Karlof Tales of Mystery Chamber of Chills Chamber of Darkness Crypt of Shadows Dead of Night Ghosts Ghost Manor House of Mystery G.I. War Tales Journey into Mystery Men of War Many Ghosts of Dr. Graves Secrets of Sinister House Tomb of Darkness Tower of Shadows Twilight Zone Uncanny Tales Unexpected Unknown Soldier Vault of Evil Weird Mystery Tales Weird Western Tales Weird War Tales I've noted this in the eBay/Sellers thread but wanted to remind those that frequent this thread since the content is relevant. Thanks guys!
  20. I like the stock analogy...buy on fear...sell on news. The TV show is news
  21. "Could that be the zombie Rick encounters on the side of the road in issue #1? " Actually a good still...and yes that would be my guess...although I would say they didn't quite make the mark. It's supposed to look like roadkill...this one has a lot more "get up and go". Then again, I see the ribs, and there's no confirmation of a lower torso. I remember the comic because there were no arms (just bones) ...just laying there...helpless..with only its eyes and some noises to indicate that it was still "alive". Man...those were the days.
